What is this cable??

A556xs There is one listed online with a few other items. The seller has no clue what any of it is, and my quick online search turned up nothing. Also tried typing the model # into the search here. The 1 pic she provided shows a traditional PG package, it looks like an RCA cable, but i can only see ...

also, i think thats a kickass idea Thanks! I thought so too. Obviously i forgot about the OctaneR. I dont think i have ever seen an OctaneZR or a Ryval sub. I did put the RSD up there, just didnt add the "c". Also, were there multiple Elites? (like EliteD) Or are they all the same, just r...

PG sub evolution

I know its probably crazy, and most people wont get it, but i want to put together a "Sub Evolution" display. Since i already have numerous different 12" subs, I want to try to find 1 12" of every different model produced and mount them in some sort of display board. Powering the...

Re: post a pic of your latest purchase

I had never seen a white one either so i started going through the "show me your stash" thread. I only found one, in SolacE's post from '08. After speaking with Starunit10 about it, he believes it is the same one. I am not sure how many are out there. Either way, it works prefectly for wha...

Re: Tire Pressure Sensors

One of my best friends owns a tire shop. I have worked/helped out there for years.

I can give you his info. He has tons of experience (over 15 years) and deals with these all the time. He is in Guelph but if you are up for a small drive, he will hook you up.

Not really a purchase so much as a trade. Got my matching DD5 today! So glad to have this thing. Thanks again Starunit10. Sorry about the orientation, damn Canadian monitors, lol. https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/971213_10153051853385313_455690077_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-...

Re: ZX600 Ti Repair

Thanks for the advice Tricky. I have read all of Eric's (and others) tutorials over and over. I feel confident with a little practice i could handle a ps cap replacement. Is there a specific iron that you would recommend for a guy just starting out? I have wondered which would be better, electric or...

You are probably right about that.

Makes me wonder if, 20 years from now, people will be reminiscing about present day speakers and saying things like "remember how bullet proof they were" or "I used that set for 17 years in 6 cars without an issue". I highly doubt it.

Re: ZX600 Ti Repair

Thanks for the tips on where to start looking. The ZX600 was missing all of the screws that hold it together when i bought it. And it helped a few buddies out to keep their PG amps running and looking good. I am okay with sacrificing that one. The M100 was tossed in when i bought another M100. I che...

I am far from being an expert, and i am sure someone makes a good set, but i have never heard a set of oval speakers that has made me say "yeah that sounds nice". Just saying.

There you go. Look at the positive side of it. No sense dwelling on something you cannot change. Now you get to have fresh paint and a perfectly straight body! Glad to hear it isnt as bad as first thought. Have you considered shaving the door handles? I think that would look trick on your car.

You realize this is a Phoenix Gold specific site right?
Im not saying some of the technology doesnt apply to other brands but if people here wanted to talk Alpine, they would probably go to DIYMA.

Re: Rsd65cs Crossover Planning Help

A capacitor is no gurantee that it will be saved. It just acts as a high-pass cross over and will also cut a good portion of the volume of the signal out as well. The best way I know of to do it is to take a small light bulb to take some of the power out of the DC that is created when a signal is c...
