After using my elite.5 for 2 days I don't know if I can go any other way now. Do you have the jl crossovers? If so can the .4 run fronts off the front and the subs on the rears? If not go the sd and let me know if you want to do some trading for the .4

All the tests are no load knight. The elite will go to 1 ohm and do way more than the zx500. Voltage x current / resistance if I remember right. So say the car is 14 volts and the amp is 20 volts. So 280 / resistance. Divide by 4 and get 70 watts. Divide by 1 and get 280 watts. So at 4 ohms the zx w...

Welcome to the phorum. I live in Tigard myself. Caps should be ok in a ti500.4, its the zx475ti that has bad caps. It's probably a bad fet or resistor. There are a bunch of better repair guys than me on the phorum though. Good luck with your repair. I've got the same one I'm repairing myself.

So I pulled my reactor and put in my elite.5. Thought I'd take a couple of measurements before and after. Pretty close on the highs but the reactor has more on the sub. Tests are with no loads so not surprising considering the reactor does a 4ohm load and the elite will go to 1. Even with them both ...

Wondering if anyone has tried it. Replacing my reactor with an elite.5 and like the location and look of my old lpl. Don't really need the LEDs on the elite knob. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like maybe the led got installed backwards at the factory. Assuming the common leg is in the middle. Not sure, I've never had one apart.
