Re: New Phorum Software

I totally miss the red and green, not only do they have more contrast than yellow and white, they add some color to this sterile theme. Just throwing it out there. The functionality seems to be great so far! Keep up the good work fearless leader!

Bought a bunch of Rnets in a plastic organizer box from Joerg. Arrived timely from half way around the world and just as described.

Thanks!

Good eye. What you are seeing appears to be "The" weak spot with all early PG amps. This is super common. The larger caps almost never show this issue so you should be fine with replacing just the smaller "power supply" caps. The links posted above should guide you nicely through...

Looks like you've got one less connection soldered in? Yes it does look that way. I should fill that hole in. That empty hole was there from the start. It is actually the other transformer that I replaced. If you look at the other 2125's on page one of this thread you will see that hole is not popu...

transformer

Ok, update to my old thread. I finally found and purchased a core from CWS Bytemark. It is a F-193A-F and cost 10.50 not including shipping etc. It is almost identical in dimensions to a MS2250 core. Same dimensions as the one that came from this very odd, we think it's an MS2125, amp. I wound it an...

Don't fuse the starter. You can fuse the ECU if you want to. For power wire it looks like you should shop here...

That's good news. No worries with the gasket on the 4 cylinder, only the V's. Still make sure you don't have Dexcool though. It is bad stuff.

Might I kindly suggest you make sure that the intake gaskets have been replaced with updated gaskets. Not just replaced with original gaskets but the updated ones from Fel-Pro. If is has not been done the engine will meet its doom. Oh, and what ever you do, make sure it does not have Dexcool, the pi...

Glad it worked out. Sorry to hear about the mix up though. I usually won't recommend a product or company unless I had a really great experience all around. And I am a stickler.

Again, glad it worked out and you like the finished product.

I don't want to sound all preachy and crap but I have seen folks killed from head injuries while walking. Remember it isn't about your speed or skills, it is usually the other ace that causes the crash. Regardless of speed, if you have a $30. head, then buy a $30. helmet. Not saying your helmets are...

I have an Arai I got on sale. It is the greatest as you can change the lens, from smoked to clear for day and night, with no tools in about 15 seconds.

If you are in love with the idea of using all three of those subs and you are only 1.5 inches too short on space, you should just copy the dimensions of the factory kicker enclosures and build one enclosure to fit all three. As in just make one long box. The inch and a half you are missing in your t...

I would gladly pay you tuesday for a hamburger today. My advice, this time do what you are comfortable with. From then on though, make it very clear when you quote any job, that full payment is due upon pickup. It is very fair and in my opinion expected. I would not think of having work done on anyt...

Usually the larger blue caps, the rail caps, are fine and don't need replacement. The twelve for the power supply are the ones you need to do for sure. The current caps available for the power supply that match the original specs are about a third the height of the originals. For this reason you can...

It is always strongly suggested by most on this site to replace the input caps if they are original. They have a bad history of leaking, whether or not you can see leakage, so they need to be replaced to prevent a fire in your car. Not trying to scare you, just very important preventive maintenance....

use the UPS tracking number, you should be able to figure where it was scanned originally, plus, UPS would mean he either has an account with legitimate info on file with UPS or he went to a ups store which I guess means you're screwed, but it wouldn't hurt to check. Too bad it wasn't USPS, then it...
