Re: THIS OK TO DO? 2 dvc subs - one 2ohm & 8ohm
Not quite the same but back in the day I got a deal on some Bazooka triangles.3 10s and a 12. Iput them all in one big box with individual chambers. All wired to a 4ohm load. Sounded pretty good on 300 watts but you could see the difference. The 2 10s wired in parallel worked good but the 10 and 12 w...

Re: Getting geared up
Ive decided to go with all Boston Acoustics speakers. I had a set of 746 4x6 plates and picked up 2 sets of Pro60SE's at a sweet deal today. The Boston subs have a high efficiency so this should help me out with my fairly low power(at least by todays standards) old school amps. I also like the fact ...

If my amps accept up to 2 volt input and I use a line driver/processor with up to 8 volts. Will this hurt or how will the this affect my amps?

Re: MEMORY LANE -- Where did you start?
Ice,I always wondered how those Audiobahn's sounded. I have a new in box AW1206Q that been under my bed since like 2000. Been thinking bout pulling it out and throwing it in a box to listen to it. If you don't count the 2 pioneer 12" home speakers I threw in the back seat of my moms Buick Le Sa...

Cleaner look. I dig it. What kind of wire did you use to make your RCA's? I thinking of making my own, also. That way i don't have to find a place to hide all the extra wire.

As much as I love old school car audio,I vote for the TI if its a good deal. Hard to beat the versatility of those amps.

They look like they are built well. The 82db sensitivity makes them a hard purchase for me without hearing them in person first.

The x458 has 4v front rear and sub outs but i dont think it has sub xover built in. I appreciate the suggestion but I use exclusively Kenwood decks. keep your amps in bypass if possible? Not sure what that means. If you want full balance and fading ability I would probably recommend more then one cross over to do all that work. Its been for ever now does the QX series have cross overs on board? I looked back at your list of gear but didn't noti...

Re: New Phoenix Gold Product Suggestions (Here We Dream)
I'd like to see Phoenix Gold come out with some signal processing options to compete with the Audison Bit One and Bit Ten. I have found myself looking at those, and where everything except the HU is Phoenix Gold in my truck, I get this feeling like I am cheating on my wife when looking at it....

if I don't get raped on taxes I am going to go buy a welder and teach myself.... Get after it,man! Snatch you up a good 140 Lincoln mig. You can have the basics down in a weekend. Once you get used to what settings for different materials it doesnt take much practice to throw down some purty beads....
