But they've done it like what? 5 or 6 times already since the original GTA? It's getting almost as old as Final Fantasy. Man, I sure hope there aren't any real hardcore gamers here because I'm going to get lynched for saying this

for some reason it never gets old. i will likely buy it in a few months when it is like $15 used on amazon. lol...what makes your post even more funny is i still love ALL the FFs......i even played the 1st one fairly recently on an emulator...lol

GTA and Gran Turismo are what prompted me to buy my first game console which maybe gets 2 hours of playtime every 3-4 months but hey I just wanted to blow shit up.

Old and tired? More like the only games worth playing (that and GT)...

When was the last time you played one through? I know you have played FF3 and GTA2, but they've both come a long way since then. Sure the storyline isn't revolutionary, but the games have never gotten less fun (except for FFXII, because it's a one player MMORPG, and MMORPGs suck it long and hard).

Games that are old and tired are more like Tony Hawk's Pro skater. Each game is the same, except they add one or two new tricks and maps, and one lame "mode" that nobody ever plays. WOOOW. Every new FF/GTA release has been a completely new environment however, which is why the series has such a lasting appeal.

Anyways, you've seen my collection. I have nothing but series games. It's either that, or I spend my $80 buying exciting revolutionary new titles like BoggleBlast, Watch Grass Grow 3D, or Huff My Farts 2003.

But seriously, many of the FF's are awesome, but some of them still arn't all that great.

Got you beat I bought a PS2 to play you'll never guess--FIFA Soccer 2005. I played one season and haven't touched it since. I'm not big into video games but I have thought about buying the original nintendo to play.

Buy a modded x-box instead. Then you can have all the original nintendo, sega, and snes games, plus play x-box games!!! It's a blast!! I think I'll go play some Contra!!
