Question for you canadians..

Post by ydnap »

Since you guys were talking about the cost of cigs and shit (and it all sounded like England) I have been thinking about other stuffs.. Snacks. LOL.

Now here in the US it is all focused on Candies. Twizzlers, gums, gummi worms and so on, but the selection of snacks? crap tbh.

I mean dont get me wrong I idolise combos (esp the pepperoni ones) and there are a couple of decent choccy bars now (the take five is incredible !) but their chips? forget about it..

All they really have is plain, salt and vinegar (thank fucking god) and sour cream and onion. Eww. I do, however, really have a soft spot for the salt and pepper ones that herrs do :)

I also found the bbq ones, theyre kicking too but in the UK we had all kinds, such as..

Chicken
Chicken curry
beef
tomato sauce
prawn cocktail (theyre actually really good)
scampi and lemon (mmmm)
cheese and onion
cheese and chives
hedgehog (I shit you not)
Chicken Tikka masala
Marmite (which were lovely.. very beefy)
beef and onion

and the list goes on, those are just some of the crisps I can remember..

Do you get the same sorta selection in canada lads? or are you on about 4 flavors like the yanks?

I know that in the 80's in the UK we outlawed a shitload of dyes and colorings that still exist here in the USA. They were linked to A.D.D and hyper activity aswell as brain damage, so we banned them. Alot of the candy on sale here in the US wouldnt even be legal for sale there

For the americans you can just list your fave snacks :) of late mine are -

Pepperoni Combos and Pizzeria combos - I have loved these things ever since I got here.

Hersehys Take Five - the bar with everything in it, these things are fucking amazing !

Wawa stuffed pretzel, Jalapeno - I could live on these things.

Peppermint Altoids - ok not a snack but I always have a tin of these handy :)

For drinks, lately it has been

Snapple Elements, Rain - The agave cactus and pear one. I fucking LOVE this stuff. If I could ask god to make one liquid run from my fawcet I would susbstiture this for water. Kinda sux how its in a much smaller bottle now, tho.

Wawa gatorade substiture - cheap, tasty and no different to the real IMO.

Kiwi Strawberry propel - awesome for hot days :)

Arizona Pomegranite green tea - this stuff is like wankjuice.. Amazing, and hardly any sugar at all. I think this is my most bought drink ATM :)

I've seen a majority of those that you've listed, among many other types, so yes... I guess we do have more chip selection in Canada.

Chips? Never. They wreak havoc on my figure.
They're one of the worst snacks you can scoff, but yeah, like what Stipud says, there's a huge selection of flavours here.

Try baby carrots, celery sticks or grapes as snacks. You'll feel better and your colon will be self cleansing. Once you hit 40, having a good crap can be a chore.
