too bad. he's definitely a legend.

on a side note, anyone else ever hear an old techno song that had a hook that would repeat over and over "James Brown...is...dead." probably not , but i'll see if i can dig it up anyhow.

I have James Brown is dead. It was done by LA Style in 91 and is a classic rave tune.

There was a follow up called James Brown is still alive too.

We were listening to the dead one last night, creepy really lol

Yep, that's the one I was thinking about! Thanks for posting. It brought back some really old memories. Do you have a copy of the follow up Pandy?

Oddly enough i've been on a soul music kick since the Godfather departed. 8)

didn't an ex president just die too?

I think I'll miss james brown more personally... little richard or mikey jackson would be a close second.... just because they're funny as hell to watch get beat on by tabloids lol.
