What are the "goto" facebook groups now?

Although I detest Facebook, it seems that they are wining out over internet forums in most cases. So, what are the best groups to request access to? You guys know what I am into, but for a refresher my loves are Phoenix Gold, SoundStream, and Autotek in pretty much that order. I don't go in for the new stuff to much, but pieces up to about 2005 are of interest. I need a place to fuel my love of broken shit. I also would like to know of any more general audio groups where I might find some interest in some of the newer class D amps I have repaired that I would like to sell to free up funds for actual collectables

On a side note, Facebook really does suck. It seems nothing is organized in these groups, FB randomly promotes some groups and posts and fails to notify on others and on top of it all social media sites get netnannied at most workplaces and mine is no exception. If I want to use FB I have to use it on phone interface which IMHO sucks as well... I really wish that forums would make a resurgence....

its not all that bad now joerg. It makes it nice to keep up with old friends and people I want to hear from and super easy to block out the people I don't. It is also unfortunately the way everyone is keeping in touch now. I miss a good phone call but on the other hand my phone dials as well as rings.

I only go on Facebook for the car audio groups. Before I discovered the groups I had an account that I logged into once a year.

Those are the main ones. Hit me up to join the registry group. I am very selective about whom I let in, trying to create a group of serious collectors and aficionados who can be trusted to buy and sell without conflict. As a result, if someone asks to join, if it's not a name I know I'll research to see who their friends are, what other groups they are in, and what photos they have posted. If their isn't PG stuff in your profile picture then chances are you don't belong.

For me, FB is for family, friends, car audio and music. That's it. That's almost to much in itself some days.

My wife uses Facebook to keep in touch with her family and friends, and even my family and friends. If I really need to inform someone of something, I have her do it. Maybe she can join the PG group.

My brother-in-law has a career in social media for Ram trucks. He convinced me to use Instagram now that I have my first "smart" phone. I reluctantly agreed, and so far it has been OK. I like that I can see what people are doing, but there does not seem to be any drama like I always hear is going on with people on Facebook.

the drama on FB is easily ignored by not paying attention to the drama queens. Its as simple as a quick click to ignore them and as you said its nice to keep up with everyone easily.

I changed the “Phoenix gold registry” group to “unique and rare Phoenix gold” to make it more generic.

Anyone requesting to join, PLEASE P,EASE PLEASE attempt to answer the questions. I auto ignore anyone that doesnt even attempt to answer the questions. Also, the answers are: Oregon, wire and accessories, and we should all know of 3 limited edition amps to list. I set up the questions to weed out anyone looking to start crap or post random crap.

Hmmm, looks like FB will be the place to go as this site does not seem to work at all, new here but have been unable to get my posts listed, waiting for moderator approval but cannot seem to find a moderator, sent a question to administrator as well but again, nothing. So seems like this site is non-functional unfortunately. Just found the site last evening after many weeks of searching and was hoping for help on restoring a Phoenix Gold ZX475ti amplifier. Old but still worth restoring, keep it out of the landfill anyway.
