Hi guys, just registered on the phorum after lurking as a guest for a few weeks.
Bit of background on myself..... 35yo. Got my start in the Car Audio industry in 1992-1993 selling and doing the odd install (only touched the cars I liked and left all the boring things to the other guys). During that time (amongst other things) I attended a 2 day traing session with none other than Larry Fredrick of PG fame! Got into the soundoff scene as a judge and within a few years had been invited to the Australian Finals, and was the head trainer for all IASCA judges in my home state. Worked for 3 different companies with varying roles but generally always in sales & custom install. Purchased my M44 brand new in early 1994 and still own that amp. Also now own an M25 and EQ215X and am on the lookout for an M50 & M100 to complete the set.
I'm soon (few months) to begin an install in a vehicle for myself using the M44 & M25 along with a host of old school parts. I'm glad I found this site and will no doubt make good use of the members expertise when it comes time do some Cap replacement in the not too distant future.
I no longer work in the audio industry, but still have a few ties / contacts in the area. It was the one love of my life when I was younger, and I'll always yearn for great sounding system in any car I own.
I was never a part of the car audio scene in those days. I came in right as the Xplod generation was taking off *shudder*. With these amps I can vicariously relive the past when they still "made them like they used to". It's kinda like owning a classic muscle car, but with amps!
Welcome
For an old-skool-lover, you're still young..
Happy to see another man that remembers the happy times in his life, as beeing the car-audio era of the 90's!!
I've found some special "family-members"here, sure you'll find yours.
Welcome again, and re-live the days
Welcome. You'll love it here as I'm sure you already now that.
If you still have some "tie-ins", you gotta help me out man.
I'm 30 and got into PG the same time as you, it's just that now I can "afford" it. Tax time I plan on grabbing a M series or two that need a good home.
"ZPA's will have the same sound essentially as you get from the MS, they just feature a bigger shinier set of balls."
