Well, I was away from one of the sites (AK) for a while and when I returned I was suprised at what had been going on. There's a link on page 2 of the link I'm providing that will take you to the other forum that contains all the bickering.

Long story short, Audio Kingdom is making irratating posts on carstereo.com and they're going back and forth at each other. I'm a member to both and told AK that any forum would benefit from the people on this forum.
There was a tie in to this forum over there as I used an example from here at one point to make a point there.

I'm proud to be here and all, but what is going on at carstereo.com conserning, what seems to be this site but not sure if it is as there's another AK site, the moderation that doesn't exist needs to stop. Who in the hell wants to come to another site where imature posting is happenng from its members? I wouldn't. I'm just baseing this off of what "fordfreak" over there has posted. Not sure if he's the same one here. But honestly, isn't that what this site was intended for? To get away from the BS over there?
I hope what I have to say doesn't get me banned, but it's very childish w/what's happening. >>> IF <<< this is the case, there's still a lot of growing up that needs to be done here.

Sorry SMGreen--- it has gotten a little out of hand. It started as an attempt to get the admin over there to pay attention. Unfortunately it has degraded into something that, well, probably shouldnt have happened... BUT, it has proven a point... no one over there cares about that site...talking about the admin and lack of any moderation of course.
It is sad to see what used to be a good web site go into the pooper like that one has...but, without an active staff it's gonna happen. The good news is that because of that lack of interest our Admin created this forum and we are still the best.
I personally apologize for acting just like those I have been trying to get away from, (pubescent ignorant males at CA.com) but you also need to understand there is a reason all this started....to prove a point that the admin of CS does NOT care. Admitted, I am a mod of this site and probably shouldnt have participated, but I support the reason why Ford started it. Really, it is not that much different than when Wired was messing with them and trying to prove what a joke the competition part of the site is.
Don't give up on AK SMGreen.... you know that is not who we are. Don't fall for the hype and crap that is being spread over at CS. You are here because you are one of the best and we appreciate having you here.

I too am to blame for trying to light a fire under the butt of admin at CArStereo. Personally I just want some policing over there.
Drastic times call for drastic measures?
But in real life I'm a pretty nice guy.

From a different perspective......We probobly do look extremely juvenile. The entire point was to get the Administrator to put some changes in place. It has gotten a bit out of hand though.......

Probablly look juvenile???????? No probably to it. It looks very juvenile, as it is. FF, I noticed you're age, and that's 10 yrs older than I. I feel wierd that I'm the one that has to calm it down for this sites purpose and what dignity it has left. Audio Kingdom, man your post.......about 1000 times and on every catagory was way out of line IMO.
I hold respect for those over here and I want it to stay that way, but if it goes on like this any longer, I will have a hard time doing so.

Please smgreen, don't confuse our dear Ford.
Both Ford and myself have posted over 1000 times on this site and have never worried about a moderator coming down on us for what we post, around here it is all in good fun. My problem is I am now so used to having "big brother" watching us (moderator) that I really think it is what CarStereo needs. Look at my posts over there, I posted a lot in the beginning then I got tired of all the fighting and such so I kind of lost interest. It's like once you have a moderating team that cares, you want to share that with everyone.

I added a little something extra...it is truly how I feel and hopefully offers an explanation of why I have supported what has happened over there...sure , it is coming back to bite AK a little bit.... but like spcdwayne said... there is no Wired, or FOrdFreak, Or AndyMTX on the fake forum.

I only stated that (if you noticed, I didn't mention your age...I was there for you man) Because of me being the younger one, I figured that older=wiser which should = non-juvenile.
Andy, I know what you mean. I claim the PG Phorum page as my car audio home page. If someone comes in and is an not a very nice person, they're asked and given a chance to clean up thier act. If they continue, they're gone. Once "we" get to know the new comer, than the smartassness can begin.
We'll act imature a time or two over there, but it stays there on that phorum and no other. It's because we know each other almost as family.
This place has its share of brains, no doubt, but on the PG phorum there are some of the smartest people involved in car audio I've EVER known. ANY, and I'll repeat ANY site would benefit from the level of intelligence over there.
Simply put, I feel about that (PG) site as you feel about this one.

I guess I was a part of this also and if the things we did embarissed you and made you think less of us I am sorry. For me it was just trying to help prove the point of how bad that site was. I wa treated like crap there for asking normal noob questions and also treated badly for asking good questions trying to get peoples opinions. I left that site very quickly because of the crap that goes on there. If it had been a good site and someone cared about it I dont think it would have ever gotten that bad in the first place. If I cause people to leave that site I think it is a good thing.
Well, that's it for now. I don't think I need to post anymore on the topic. As you can see the point.
