Probably not here is the US... Plus you will never know how the last owner treated the car, and then dumped it before paying it off ?????? somethings not right here... Is it a repo, or a wreck, Check car facts and see what the deal is on the vin number. someone gave that car up way early in its life for some reasonpgmaniac wrote:![]()
05 with 35000 miles wouldn't still have warranty??

whoa delerium168....have you BEEN in a scion? its like a tuna can. the performance is so low on them, i would actually consider it dangerous to drive in normal traffic situations. the interior is a joke....there is just nothing redeeming i can think of on that car...i wouldn't spend 9k on one, let alone twice that.
the Acura HANDS DOWN.
extremely reliable, great fit and finish. more performance. will hold its value much better then the scion.
Cecil, I'm gonna have to disagree with you. i have noticed the giant hit you take in deprecation with a new car is equal to or greater then repair bills. if he wanted to sell that scion in 2-3 years, i would be shocked if he managed to get 10 back out of it.
if he was asking should i buy a used Audi a8 or a new scion, it would be a different story, but the Accra TSX is a great car, and 35k on the clock is nothing for one of those. they are famously reliable and command a premium in their market.
delerium168, obviously you should have a mechanic look at the Accra before purchase, but unless it is a lemon, the Accra is a no brainier.
sorry for the rant...but im a big beleiver that buying any car new is a waste of money.

Whoaa..Thanks guys for the great responses...i am gonna check the TSX and Scion out on the way home from work tonight and probbaly i will just flip the coin later....Scion redesigned the 08 Xb so they are not that "soap box" anymore....but honestly,i am leaning toward the TSX as right now i drive 94 Acura Integra GSR (with 228xxx miles on it and still running strong)and i know how reliabale Acuras/Hondas are as well as Toyota/Scion..but like Cecil said buying used car is buying somebody else problem cause we never know if the car has been abused or not as the TSX is 6 speed manual and for sure is not the car for 70 year old lady..tonight i will do some serious meditation and flip the coin..

As much as buying a used car can be buying someone's problems, buying a new car can be buying the manufacturer's problems.
Not all cars are created equal and a factory warranty doesn't guarantee there won't be problems that might keep your brand new, premium priced ride in the shop while you sit there and twiddle your thumbs as the value depreciates.

Scion.........or .........Acura...
do you want to drive a toaster or a car?
I noramlly disagree with acura/honda but I have got to say for the price and options you are providing, I would run not walk right to the Acura.
It has already taken the bulk of depreciation already, if it looks clean your golden, get a mechanic to look it over and be happy.

I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.
