Wow.

Just wow.

To witness the stupidity of this they need a lawyer to begin applying the legal principles of this law to other matters and impound any kind of personal property for any kind of minor disturbance, simply by accusation.

Ya totally sux. Man..thats pretty steep...and a bit too broad....

Shoot start calling in on your neighbors cars or your enemies....or people you dont like...someone cutting you off on the road (reguardless of stereo/equipment)....you can turn a crappy set up loud too....

And also, having a system merely capable of being loud enough does not automatically determine whether or not the stereo ever was being played "loud" defined as "the sound can be heard from 75 feet or more from the device".

I can hear semis for further than 75 feet, nearly constantly.

What about bikes?

Airplanes?

etc.

What about just runnin around with a boom box or mp3 play etc?

the law is just too broad on this...and again, if someone calls and complains , what if it was the car next to you?

And just looks like you're guilty first, and then ask questions later....meanwhile your car is towed, and.....all expensive need to be paid by you reguardless of fault....IT SOUNDS LIKE.....

Although I dont agree with this at all and feel it is ridiculous, they need something like that around Kalamazoo. I am willing to bet I hear garbage rap song blaring out of $500 best buy/abc warehouse stereos every 4 minutes, all day long. When I say day, I dont mean just when the sun is up. Im talking 3, 4, and 5 in the morning. I think the law has just gotten too lax, and is now trying to get a hold on something that has gotten out of control. Ill just went the wrong way about it.

thats rediculous. i would burn down the city hall if they took my car.

i think ANY newer factory system can even be heard from 75 feet
my ex-girlfriend said "its car audio or me"

This would kill some of us...We listen to our music at a moderate rate but if any one say my car 2 15s in the rear self woudl naturally assume it's built to be loud.

Im with Mas, it will not hold up in a higher court.

It may not hold up in court, but think about the fees you would have to pay....the tow fee, storage, getting it out of storage, you'll initially have to pay the charges against you so you dont get penalized for not paying. you will probably need a lawyer....
Time wasted to go to court. No car for a day or two. NEed someone to go take you to the storage.....Ugh...endless.
