FA Carling cup final

Post by ydnap »

Yo dudes. So, "Soccer" (said in a silly texan style american accent like the dude in green street).

If there are any fans around here, and you are unaware of what a real "Soccer" game is all about then try this -

http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/

And click the Listen button. You will need real player installed, but it'll be worth it.

At 3 p.m UK time Tottenham Hotspur (AKA Spurs, the real ones) will be taking on Chelsea (eeeyuck) in the FA carling premiership cup final.

This is pretty much the most prestigious event in british "Soccer" (UEFA league of champions not included 'cos that includes Johnny Foreigner).

I'm an avid Spurs fan ! but my following of them has dwindled over the past seven years because it's fucking hard keeping up here.

Instead I followed the Phillies as I was a huge fan back in the UK (long before I met my ex wife or ended up coming here) so baseball was my logical second choice as

A. The USA has no idea what a real game of football is.
B. The USA can't play football.
C. The USA had to go and fuck up the rules and make some of their own.

So, if you fancy a listen go ahead :) the game will kick off @ 3 p.m UK time (10 A.M here on -5 hrs) so basically in about 50 mins :)

Yo dude! Some of us on this forum make a living off of "Soccer" (in my silly Texan style American accent) !

And I will admit that soccer in the USA is below par to English soccer, but what is English about English soccer--certainly not the players or even the elite coaches. Does Arsenal the EPL leaders even field an English player?

A. I agree with this point, the fans have yet to embrace the game. No problem. I do.

B. We are changing this one now. We have not failed to make the World Cup since 1990 (can you same the same for England?). Nor our Confederation championships, of which we are the current champs. See you at Euro '08-- uh nevermind.

C. USA/MLS play FIFA rules like the rest of the world.

GO CHELSEA :P

HAHA fuck Chelsea !

That was awesome. Shame the fucking stream went all crappy with about ten minutes to go, but the result is what matters.

We're going to Europe ! W000000000000t !
