"Back in the Day"
Just thought I would hit you guys w/ the full size of my avatar, thats me back in 1987 on my then brand new ($3400, how quaint) Honda Hurricane 600! I was freshly graduated from high school and racing the local motocross circuit in the 250 intermediate class (love those white pants!), when I decided to give my street bike a workout in the dirt. I also hit some whoops and ran her up over 50 mph on the trail! Yeeehaaa, to be that young and crazy again!

Funny! Wrong, PLENTY of room to go lower, trust me...Francious70 wrote:I know you're joking, but in all seriousness, he shouldn't go any lower. He looks to have reached the absolute limit of the edge of the tire. Going lower will only reduce his surface contact with the road.

Roland, PI is an awesome place to ride. When you first go there you're kinda spun out by how quick the track is and how fast you actually go into some of the corners, but after a while your mind adapts to the speed and its as if you were going at half the pace you actually are.
Nothing beats cresting the main straight and looking out to the ocean.

If you ever come to Australia and want to do a track day then you can actually hire leather/helmets/boots etc and even a current spec bike (07 GSX-R 600 or CBR 600RR's) for the day and do a ride day there. It's something you'd never forget.
I've done maybe 10-15 days there and love the place. It's my favorite track to ride.
Anyway, sorry for the thread jack Flogger

The centrifical force at those speeds (140mph) allows the tire to have more grip with, example: 1/4" of tire on the road then say 60mph with 1" on the road.
