There's an auction going on, from a user with 0 feedback. It's theoretically a nice piece of kit, he's offering "seven day return", pick up in person... but he seems to be either a) a dolt or b) a fraudster.
With two days to run, and a potential value of ca. $250, there were 0 bids and the start price still.
I bought a broken Eclipse 7" in dash vid/nav unit from some asshat with zero feedback and piss poor pictures. I spoke with the guy before the auction ended, and he was polite and responded quickly. I won the thing for like $40 shipped, I figured if I got screwed, well, I wouldn't be out much. Needless to say, the guy now has -1 feedback score. It was the first and only negative feedback I have ever left on eBay in 7 years. Took two months to get my money back from paypal, the guy has not posted anything on ebay since...
I guess the point is, feedback alone would not make me stay away, however, if you feel something is hinky, it probably is. I believe to be a new seller with 0 feedback, you actually have to go through eBay's id-verify procedure now. I doubt it is fool proof, but it is probably a lot more safe than the way it was done when I started an account there...

I have been screwed by a few very polite and nice people, on different buys in the past, who had good feedback, and responded immediately when questions were asked.
So....you never know until you get the goods...
Sorry, this doesn't help, I know, but apart from buying over here, anywhere else [especially Ebay] is just a risk IMO.
GOOD LUCK.
agree with nico....
just expericed one myself, bought an oppo dvd player from an ebay seller with a 100% feedback and registered for like 10 years.. and till this date i'm still waiting for the player.

I personally won't deal with a zero feedback seller, but that's because I got screwed by one a couple of years ago. I know it's a chance you take, but it's not one I'm willing to take on anything big.
I have noticed lately that alot of Pg and other car audio's rare brand items are starting to pop up outta the woodwork and alot of em are from 0 feedback sellers. I ahve been hessitant lately on afew auctions as well.
I honestly think everyone who first signs up for a ebay account needs to take some kind of class before they are accepted. I cant stand sellers taht sit on their products and dont ship or drag shipping on Once someone pays me , a lable is printed and the postal service is contacted for a pickup(the ways its supposed to be)
