A Close Call...

Post by 5.9Limited »

so Im starting my new system for my jeep. it'll be fairly simple, nothing too hefty cause I need space... 2 JL w6v2's run by a PG 600.2 Ti. I bought the Ti, from Mhyde and payed via paypal obviously.

keep in mind over the years I've bought a lot of stuff via paypal...and my current addres has always been the "home" address on the account, thus the address that's sent to the seller for shipping info..

none the less, PP decided to dig up an addy from a residence I moved out of almost 8 years ago... and mhyde unknowingly shipped my amp, a 1 farad Ti cap, a d block and in line fuse holder. to that address...

I freaked out, thought I may have lost my amp (which is sweet by the way) ... my old place was a duplex my fam lived in. I grew up there and thankfully the same guy that bought the place when we lived there, still lives there. and thank god he got the package, recognized my name and held it for me...I took me a bit to track him down but I picked up my baby today....

talk about a close call... whew....thanks PP...thanks alot.
Is this where Im supposed to write something catchy??

I always have to mark a field for the shipping address when it comes to paypal! Don´t you have to do that?

yeah it did. and to top it off, I really didn't know if the guy would recognize my name...its been a while. AND he's a techy. loves electronics etc...so for all I knew he could have opened it, researched it and loved it...so yeah I almost #$%^ a brick.

and though to add to it... i suppose i could have been a little more proactive and asked or confirmed your address with you... hindsight is always 20/20... but thought and also knew / heard of you ordering stuff from other members and recalled you mentioning something about Winooski... so I thought it was current/accurate...
BUT I could have just simply checked with you about the address I have for you for shipping... but maybe / hopefully a lesson learned and/but even better...
we got out of it unscathed... :metal:
