Note to people selling their house

Post by mr tibbs »

PACK UP THE DAMN GROWING ROOM!! Yep, I just did an inspection and found a growing room!  There was a locked room in the basement and while my old man was inspecting the attic I asked the homeowner if I could have a look in there. She seemed kind of reluctant so I told her I don't need to go in there if she didn't want me to. She said it was just some of her personal stuff and handed me a key. I went down there alone and opened the door, everything looked fine until I saw a piece of plywood covering the cold storage. I opened that door up and BINGO!!! There looked to be about 4 buckets in there with a familiar looking plant growing out of them. I quickly closed the door and that was that. We left and nothing was said.

After I thought about it for a minute I realized that I had to say something because what if there was something wrong in that room that I was supposed to inspect? So, I called her up after my old man left. I told here that to make things easy for both of us let's just say that I never opened that locked door and call it good. "Why" she asked. "Because I might have seen something of a sensitive nature in the cold storage room" I replied. "Like what" she asked. "Like a green looking weed growing out of 5 gallon buckets" I explained. "There was nothing growing there" she said. "Look" I explained "I might be sympathetic to that cause. I called you up so that you wouldn't be worried and so we can both say I did my job. Get it??" Finally I hear her say "Gotcha, thanks".

So seriously, if your selling your home you have to expect people to look everywhere. And learn a lesson here, put your toys away!!

I've heard of that before. Except there was a full blown grow-op with like 20 plants that were 5+ feet tall and everything.......... Dude was legal but those people didn't buy the house.......
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

This in no way legal, but damn funny! It was how she tried to play it off that made me laugh. "There's nothing growing in there!", Really??!! A) There was something growing there and it sure as hell was not legal and B) That's the best you can come up with??!! I would have gone with "It's my roommates" or something along those lines not "There's nothing growing there!" I seriously picture here saying that as she is waiving her hand on the other end of the phone like she is a Jedi Master or some shit!
