Well my family and I have once more have had one hell of a month. I havent been on for a while due to a "small" fire at the house .......... here are some pics from the news paper
The fire investigators found the cause in my sons room. It was a cord that shorted and over heated. We lost every thing in the house. So now we wait until the insurance company decides to full fill there end.

I live near Saginaw, not too far from you and would highly recommend Colorado over Michigan. In fact, I have been keeping an eye out for a job that way for quite some time now, but nothing has caught my eye. Especially with Michigan's economy the way it is now, relocating is a good idea, but make sure there is employment first.

Colorado is AWESOME!! The mountains, the clean air, the FREEDOM!! But, it's pretty damn expensive to live in that state. Be careful, the cost of living is pretty high in most places. I wish I could get the wife to move out there, I love it. Since I am only one state away I try to make at least one trip out there a year.

gxs...man...I am so sorry to hear that more bad has befallen you!!! I hope that fate will grant some reprieve for you and yours...nobody should have that much bad in any period of life.
You are in my heart and my prayers my friend...if you need anything please don't hesitate to ask. I will do what ever I can to assist in anyway possible...
Have you considered oregon....with your line of work you could really move anywhere. Cost of living here isn't bad at all and the housing is cheap right now.....just a thought!!!!
Forestry hires a lot of firefighters here to....my mother worked for the dept of forestry and did well for herself over the years...of course she was a fiscal manager and never actually fought fire to the best of my knowledge....
Take care and I meant what I said....just ask and I'll do all I can

wow this is unbelievable... how is that not until today I see this as a new thread, it started like two weeks ago... i just dont get it...anyone else having this trouble (i wonder)
BUT anywho- AND more importantly, geese this sux, what is going on, joerg gets robbed, you loose house, ppl out of work, it's like Armageddon, albeit we had our differences in the past,
But but it's kinda like jail, I wouldnt want my worst enemy to end up there, ya know, and just the same hate to see this happening to (happened) to you - as you are still fam.
M
(addendum) and i wasnt trying to intimate that you were/are my worst enemy, it was a figure of speech to set up the jail metaphor

OMFG.
I felt pretty bad about scratching my bumper until I read this. Jesus Christ dude... talk about an epic mountain of shit.
I hope this all works out better in the end, but even if you can replace the home and the contents, you can't replace all the memories...

Just read this, I hope all is well and things work out. Do not, I repeat do not let the insurance company jerk you around. They will screw you if you let them.

Well the insurance company is dragging this out but things are starting to look up. We found a house today I think will work for my family and my mom (she will be with us for a wile). Its a two story 2200sqft with a unfinished walk out basement on 3 acres. I will need to build a garage that will also add about 700-720 sqft to the second floor for a much larger master bedroom. There will be enough room for my solar system with two wind generators. So I have my fingers crossed
As of right now we will be staying in Mi until my son completes high school (3 more years). I will be enrolling in a class for solar power and should have my certification in 6-8 months for off grid and grid tied systems. Sorry I haven't been on that much to respond that fast but things are starting to smooth out
