hey guys... just a heads up... to keep ppl up to speed and stuff...

I GOT SO MUCH WORK DONE TODAY AND YESTERDAY!!!!

Nothing got PC'ed, but I finally built the spray booth that was going to be needed, got the sand blaster moved in, the b ig air compressor hall hooked up... AND WELL YEAH, I did get one sample plate shot with a Johyn Deer Green... but just to merely see if the new gun worked and how well it worked... and ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS WHOLLY SHIT!

I have that here in house so i will take pic's but I am fricken whooped! nON-STOP LAST TWO DAYS, AND I MEAN THAT! From 9am-11pm both days at shop... doesnt look it though but yeah, guess it might... i dunno... but i need to go lay it down, and tomorrow is big day with making up a 4 pound Franked batch for all the franked stuff i need to do! 10:20 and just getting in.. i will take pic of the one sample i did just 1 hour ago once all was set up... but we are in business now!

okay here is my very first, first ever powder coat with the new gun i had wanted.

John Deere Green.... AND bear in mind, given i was just so anxious I didnt go through the proper process of cleaning it first... just wiped it down real good with the inside of my t-shirt instead of using like some acetone, which is of course a no-no, but just had to see it in action.

AND it traveled in the car between the console and in my pocket, and fell on floor and stuff like that from the shop to grocery store to home.
:idiot:

but it was just a sample and my son just had to play with it in the car... cant blame him, it doesn look neat and the same color of his favorite truck(s).

HEY THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT DEADLY! ^^^^^
YEAH ME TOO!

SO okay guys..... I just couldn't sleep due to excitment and anxiety of being on the verge of really getting rolling now... (feel like lil boy at xmas), but it is exciting for me, as it is taking all my free time to get set up, and so far just so very pleased with results....Just wait for the real stuff top get pumped out (i.e. sinks, covers/bases, end plates, etc...) (you know what the monkey said when they cut off his tail, right??? .............. ans: ......... WONT BE LONG NOW!)

SO given i couldnt sleep, i went to shop and shot another sample. MAN THIS GUN IS FRICKEN NICE!!!! AND I have yet to learn all the features about it that it has to offer.

Sounds -N- Powder just sounds like a laundry matt to me. Please stay away from that one. I will give you a name I use to use for my car club back in the day. How original it is I am not to sure.

MobileVibrationz

I know it has nothing to with powder coating though in the name. That's even my Ebay name still yet.

When you have some nice samples, send a couple of spare parts over and I'll do some photography for the web if you're interested.

You might also want to play with V10 from glow inc.... :D

what would be really, seriously cool, would be keyring tags that are glow on one side and the rest clearcoated. Laser etched stainless....

ugggh at work and sick sux ! sux big time ! prolly should go home, but they need me here today to load truck for tradeshow, plus not here tomorrow.. but was thinking...

AND wanted to hear what you guys think/thought...

how'bout

"Gold Phoenix Powder Coating" and having this as our logo???

WITH THE PROPER PERMISSIONS of COURSE (from whomever made it),

BUT being sick, and just thinking out loud... maybe i dont think as clearly... so i need your guys's input / criticism ...

otherwise i think i will go with NPC Northeast Powder Coating.

what say you guys... Not trying to beat dead horse or anything... but it just came to me and wanted to run it by you guys.

it does a cople of things that I have been stuck on...
1) it gives/provides a logo
2) it gives/provides a company color
3) catchy name ("hey! did you try calling Gold Phoenix")??

stuff like that, think there was something else, but cant think of it now...

oh, yeah, duh!... and Phoenix Gold inspired.

oh and while you guys are chewing on the above ^^^^^
sick at home and having had time to do a lil research...
I just stumbled across a powder place out of CT, two states south of me called Northeast Coatings...
Could there be an issue with the desired name of Northeast Powder Coating? Legally... I would say prolly not, they are after all two states over...

but morally, socially speaking... I mean well you know what I mean.... I dont want to make ttrouble, or people feel bad about confusing names or something ??

I would not worry about it too much as long as your not doing business directly in that state you will be fine ........... as for being found on the net is another thing ........ do a few domain name searches to see whats available

NORTHEASTPOWDERCOATING.COM is available!
NORTHEASTPOWDER.COM is available!

OKAY (JOERG what you have been waiting for) yes it is not your stuff... but i had to shoot something as sample to check for / make sure of consistancy of flake. Think this here is a damn close match...

SOOO I shot a TIZBB34 block cover/base and ITCHY's MS475 Back Cover (no pics of cover sorry itcy), but will have later tonight. I left it hanging in shop so it wouldnt get scratched (like this block did) BUT they both look FANTASTIC!!!!

PLEASE excuse the scratches you see on the clear coat... i had it on kitchen table last night and son had it in his hands when i woke up... so i tried cleaning it, and learned not to do it with paper towel... so given that I will end up stripping it and re-shooting it, but/so considering that... have a look and see how good it looks. I have 2 pounds of the very same consistancy of this franked powder ready for shooting and JOERGS STUFF GETS DONE TONIGHT- pics of that when done too!

IF ANYTHING consistency could be lightened a lil bit by adding a lil more black powder... but looks real close as it is but if anything maybe a lil reduction in flake?? what say you guys?!?!?
