Just have to bitch a little. I moved into a place in july that would have worked perfect. Long story short, the person right next to me has a shitty stereo (gotta be one of those $100 sets with the 8" woofer tuned to 50 hz) and HAS to play it between the hours of 12 am-645 am. I work an 8-5, so I try to go to bed around 11 or 12. It never fails, right when I try to go to sleep, on comes the bass. I talked to them, and then the landlord. This went on for a few months. The landlord pretty much gave up because he said he couldnt really pick a side (she says its not loud, but it will still measure a 14 db gain on my rta)

Finally I said enough. I told the landlord I wanted to get out of the contract. I knew that we could mutually break the contract.

I got a reply today that I could, however in a section of the contract, I would have to pay 1.5 months rent plus a pr-rate for 11 days! I knew this wasnt right, so I pulled out my contract and it says nothing about that at all. So now the asshole is trying to get almost $1000 out of me. I should be able to take his ass to court and get $1000 from him for being a dumb asshole.

Heh figure out when your neighbour sleeps and show him a little somethin' somethin' with your Xenon firing right against his wall

As for your landlord, I don't think you have any legal recourse, but fuck him anyways.

I was gonna give them some loud tunes, but they are so white trash that it probably wouldnt bother them. All they do is smoke pot all day, and I have yet to see them go to work. Sometimes they have to re-duct tape parts on thier car or replace the bungee cord holding the bumper up, but thats about♠ all they do. Anyway, I gave the landlord a big "F You" and took off. We will see what happens, but he doesnt have a chance against my original lease. Oh well.
