Planning a manual swap?

I can't stand old sluggish autos.

No, too cumbersome to swap.
I have three other examples of these cars - they all got clutches.

This one is just too pristine to pass up.
It does have a shift kit installed by the current owner.
Not sure how that will perform - I haven't driven this car yet.
It's also a 4100 lb car. It's pretty quick with those high torque numbers, but it won't challenge a V8 Mustang or M Series BMW. Power to weight ratios are very different.
These models do have refined engineering for their age. Original design was late '80's with '89 as first production year. It was leading edge for this side of the pond. A lot of euro type innovations. They stopped production in 1995 so they are becoming rare and their value is already increasing.

- Factory Eaton SuperCharger w/ air to air intercooler
- Traditional longitudinal front engine RWD
- 4 wheel independant suspension
- 4 wheel disc brakes - ABS
- Adjustable suspension - shock absorber pins rotate to change oil orifices within the shock absorber for different driving conditions. They rotate manually with a console switch from normal luxury ride to performance. Or when the switch is placed in Auto Mode, the shock absorbers will rotate automatically when the gas pedal is punched to the floor, when the braking system exceeds 400 PSI, when the steering wheel is rotated erractically (optical sensor in the column), lateral Gforce exceeds 2 or when the car exceeds 145 Km/hr.
- '94-95 have air bags on both sides. Three all together if your mother in law is in the back.

Plus they look great, unique and get 30 MPG when you behave. Also they cost under $400/year to insure. No collision of course and no punks under 25 behind the wheel.

Here's a crappy pic of the cockpit. The bottom "hole" is a hokey vehicle monitoring system - low fuel, low washer etc. That's where the HU goes and the AC Four1 or the PG TEQ6 goes where the factory Hu is sitting. Room for the LPL and Basscube pots too. Ride control and fog light rocker switches can be seen on the console.

Last pic - Black is my '93, red is my '90. Both have clutches.

Very pretty cars, but I am partial to the 87. Mainly cause I owned a sweet 87 turbo coupe. Though I will admit the level in the trunk of the newer birds would make installing your gear SO much easier. Great cars!!!! That black needs more photo's posted though!!

My friend had a manual SC and yes it is a heavy car. The truck space is more than sufficient though. Three JL 12w6's fit just fine.
