Hey guys, Ive got a question about createing a Facebook account for my son.I t states that anyone can join but after punching in his birthdate, it tells us he is uneligible. He is 9, and he wants too hook up with some of his friends from school. Im just wondering if there is a parental control or if his friends are on theyre parents page.He will not be using it anywhere else except at my house, with me right beside him.
Thanks in advance,
Dean and Ethan.

There are some young teens in out neighborhood on FB, but I am not sure how they registered.
I am not really sure why you need to be 18 for FB!... It depends who your "friends" are as to what bad language you might pick up

yea just go ahead and show him that it isn't important to stay away when something on the internet says its is for 18 and over...... Just go ahead and lie about it....
see what conversation that ends up with in a couple of years, and let us know when it happens. Just out of curiosity what does a 9 yr old need on FB? If you really believe that he is only going to do it when you are next to him yer fooling yourself. Now think of all the crap and viruses that gets passed around there. all the freind requests..... I am single at 34 and only have a dog so I really have no room to give parenting advice but just curious.
