None of the above. Supposedly it's just genetics. 284# and a 38" neck.

Those dogs can get up to 200#.

Not that it makes it credible but the dog is in the Guiness Book of WR. I'm sure mastiff has seen/heard of this dog.

The funniest thing about the pictue is the guy casually holding the leash. What good would a leash be for dog that big anyway? Might as well put a saddle on it!
