I knew with a title like that, that most of you would just have to click it to see how I had pics of joerg. For that half I am sorry to dissappoint unless that is him standing under the thing, or sittin it in and then my hats off to ya!

Who the hell thinks of this stuff? I would have loved to see the face of the engineers that you threw this little problem at to see if it could be done? Would also LOVE to see the calculations that were done to confirm that it could be safely done.

Who's balls were bigger?
The camera man under it, the reporter under it or the crane operator?

I was hoping one of them over the pond would tell us if this is a normal thing er what? Your tv programs are a little different, and I wish we had something like this here....
Funny watching it and wondering what they were doing, then wondering what they were doing, they just wondering how it would end.

That was great! I wonder what the cost of engineering and actual production went into making that tower?

can you just imagine the forces that are involved with all of that? The strain of the arm and specifically on the jack that moves it up once it onhooks? Has to be some HUGE numbers they are dealing with.
Yes I agree that we need some more of these, you do not even need to translate....

Wetten Dass is like... the Tonight Show. It's an institution and it's once a week. Still running, too.
Can't find the bierflaschen one, sorry, will have to look some more

Haha what the hell! Never even heard of this show, and here i was thinking UK Top Gear did cool things.. i've been missing out!
It just doesn't seem to comply with the laws of physics with those tracks on the tower holding it up.

Why not? There were 2 more tractoers that were resting on "ARMS" or anchors if you will, on the opposing side that the crane was wall climbing.
I will admit, a lot of faith went into doing that, the operator that is. He had to feel comfortable in this companies testing/products.

Funny thing, my old man just sent this to me about 2 weeks ago, the physics involved to even consider this is mind boggling!!

Yep, just got done taking Fluid Power at school last semester. That's also what reassures my thought that that is possible, and well... They proved it.

There is a hook in the middle of the Crane thingy that hook onto the tower, they show it at one point where he is lining it up. I am sure that was something they added on and not a normal accesory for the piece.
Like I said know there was a team of engineers working all kinds of calculations and like he said when it came down to it it was a buch of orings holding alot of pressure.

That is my favorite show to watch when visiting Germany. They come up with the strangest collection of entertainment for a true VARIETY show. Highly recommended any chance you get.
