"New Posts" not turning off after viewing threads

Just recently I have noticed that the "New Posts" indicator won't reset after viewing a thread unless I'm subscribed (have posted in the thread) to it. They're still resetting after the log-in session expires properly.

Is anybody else experiencing this? Or did I unknowingly change a setting or something?

Nevermind the detail about subcribed threads. I had noticed that the "New Posts" was resetting on SOME threads and not others and that seemed to be the logical reasoning for such, but it wasn't the case!

:hmm:

The pm sender can delete the pm after sending it as long as you haven't opened it yet. But the email is sent straight away and obviously can't be deleted. Didn't you post that you had that problem before?

If so, somebody might just be messing with ya!

I'm thinking it's due to cached files, cookies, or something to that effect. Obviously comprutahs are not my strong point! I have to ask how do you dump the cache and delete the cookies on a mac!?

Here’s how to clean your cache:

1. Choose Users>your user name>Library>Caches.

2. From the Menu bar, choose Edit>Select All.

3. Drag all of the items to the Trash.

4. From the Macintosh HD, choose Library>Caches.

5. Choose Edit>Select All, and drag the items to the Trash. You’ll be required to type in an administrator’s password.

6. Restart your Mac.
