how do you like your POF? i has been thinking about one. also where did you get that case?

The cases are Coffin Case guitar cases. I took out the inner fabric and replaced it with my own foam and fabric.
The POF was bought as two seperate parts upper and lower.
For what it is, it runs nice.
Cleaner running then the Mega Machine pistol.
I like the fact that the gases are vented up front instead of into your face.
The plated carrier wipes clean.
The Ambi. bolt carrier release works.

Okay, I couldn't wait...is that a special magazine in the 229? Or is it just a different butt plate? That's exactly what I need for my big ol' mitts!

You can say it's rare.
They only sold this style mag with the P229 SPORT pistol.

These came with 10 rounds mags with the extended base.
There is a member on SF that was making them but can't remember who right off hand.
The cost was something like $20-$25 + shipping.
He made them to fit almost all of the standard 229 mags.
Which wasn't bad since you rarely see the Sport mags for sale, and when you can find them be prepared to pay $40-$50 each.
The four I have are pretty rare also.
These are 12 round Sport mags which only were to be sold in Germany.
I just happened to know a dealer that bought and sold alot of Sig brand items
He found the mags in a shipment, and till this day has never been able to get any more.
