NEXT CONTEST - RTE 66

Post by mhyde71 »

here we have pic's of the text off a rte 66.
find the two typo's/inconsistencies within the text
and win a PG Key-chain flash light

one of the ones i see/think that is an inconsistency could very well be intentional by PG artist back in the day- but nonetheless, it is an inconsistency.

hope that doesnt give it away

good luck
it will either be very tough or very easy
hopefully not as hard as the baseball score contest :) :P

It says high pass and hi pass x-over. Then it says outputs and input for the rca's. It also has a low-pass with a dash in between one time.

well you know i was going to say that there were three inconsistancies...BUT the one you pointed out couldnt be avoided due to the space avail to the cross-over area.

So while that is one, (the high pass vs. hi-pass), it isnt one of the ones i have in mind... due to space constraints and cant fault them for that. BUT there is defi one typo, and another typo/inconsistancy i was thinking of.

and i dont see where it says outputs on the rca's that you spoke of...?

^^ no in fact no- i dont believe so anyways...
low pass is the secondary part of the 44, and not the 25.... the 25 end of amp is for rear fill (well of course you could use it for whatever one would like) BUT the 44 on the 66 is for front stage and sub out, while the 25 is for rear fill.

incidentally these are fairly subtle typo's or inconsistencies
so it looks like it might take a lil bit for someone to see/figure out... :P

on the first bridged mono, is that a scratch in the N or is that a different font?

I still think the top is a little thicker then the bottom.

yes a scratch in the N
i feel confident that there is consistency with the font- believe it is all helvetica or some variation of helvetica

and perhaps below the line is not bold or vise-versa...but that could very well be intentional...but looking at the amp in hand/person... i do not see any difference in font style with the pics i took. Think it might look lighter due to the different color of text that is below the line- idk just guessing...but no while it might be true... i dont think that was un-intentional... and not one of the two i was trying to demonstrate.

which is one of the reasons mine were always a little off. as when i traced, i simply traced-

but since then i have fixed MY off-setness

No, it should be labeled SUB low pass speaker outputs. All three of the gain pots are differentiated FRONT, REAR, and SUB. The corresponding speaker outputs are also labeled, FRONT and REAR, thus the SUB specific label is missing on the third set of outputs.
