For me it was the M series. They were probably the most expensive amps a 16 yo could buy (M44 and M100). I still have the M44 - its almost mint

I could honestly say that the M series was my favorite

Tom had PG gear around for a while but I never paid much attention. He got me an M44 as my first amp and what can I say, I love it.

I think for me it was the MS series...I saw a system article in AS&S I think. It was an Eddie Bauer Bronco with Boston speakers, and lots of PG goodies...MS amps, EQs, Xovers, etc....beautiful.

And around the same time was the legendary Pathfinder with the Frank in the back....anyone have details on that?

As soon as I learned of the Frank and Son of, I knew I had to own one someday.

A buddy of mine competed for PG, until he got pissed that they decided not to send him the Cyclones. He sold me my first two PG M25's (~1994), one of which dgoodhue now owns, and the other I still have along with an M50 that is also in great condition. I now want an M100 and an EQ215 or 230 to complete my collection.


M series got me addicted, I love the white face and blue lettering with gold fins!! Best color combination of any PG line IMO.

took it home hooked it up to two rockford spp-154s and came in my pants.
never turned back.

My first was an MS275.

I saw a review where PG had mounted a MS275 into a big box and hooked them up to some big Livingroom speakers. No one knew what was inside that big box until PG opened it up and there was i shiny little MS275

Later i got another MS275 and a MS2125. Then i got 2 ZX450 and a ZX475Ti.

Now i got 1 RSD500.4 and 1 RSD1200.1 I sold the MS2125 back to the guy i bought it from after he had nagged and cried for about 10 years to get it back. My 2 MS275 is at my private museum, they will never be for sale.

My local dealer had a show with a Ford Tudoor "THe Outlaw car" build around an PG Outlaw and a big plexiwall with subwoofers right in the neck. Think they sold many Amps after the "Outlaw show"

MS amps were my first injection of PG, the rest was total addiction

A friend M44 & M100 is what got me into PG. I always like the M Limited edition the best of what PG offered, The MS series mounted up side down is a close 2nd. By the time I saved up and upgraded setup my system the M series were discontinued, I started off with the ZX's (I've owned 3). I later had ZXti (3 of those as well). A little over a year ago I purchase my first M series, now I have 4 of them.

First PG amp I ever saw, a M25

For me it was the EQ230 that first caught my attention then when I saw the MS2250 w/ fan shroud on the dealer wall I was hooked.

At first I was not able to afford anything but they were always on the top of my wish list.

I bought the SuperCoupe in the pic below.
The owner and I agreed on the car price and then he said, "How much are you going to give me for the audio system?"
I said, "Give me ten minutes and it'll be on the ground."
"Never mind, enjoy Frank", he said.
I get the car home, research the audio and found you clowns. I'd been away from high performance audio for a number of years, like 20, and needed to be educated on technology. I didn't know what a FAS was let alone it's rarity. So I guess it was a pair of MS series amps in a singe heat sink that got me hooked.

I added ZPA, and modified ZXti to include Ti as well.

I voted Ti... I first got into PG back when I was looking for punchier subs to replace my JL W1's. I was going to buy some Alpine Type-S woofers, but the salesman showed me some $450 Ti10's.

When I looked on eBay however, the Ti's were cheaper than the Alpines. I got two Ti10D's for $250 shipped. After that, I picked up a ZX500, ZX450, Ti900.7, Ti1200.1, Ti500.4 and a bunch of others.

it was started with a xs4600. but i think Ti amps really sealed the deal for me

I bought a ZX450, and just one ZX450 out performed my pair of Rockford Power 250.2 amps (125W x 2 into 4 ohms rated), so from then on I was hooked.

The 2250 w/fan shroud did me in. The the following year the ZX/ZPA amps came out and it WAS all over at that point. The looks of those amps........ Now I have a ZX450v2, a ZPA0.3v1 (white), and a ZPA0.5v2 (white)

XS was the only thing I could afford, but it was the ZX line that got me on this one way path to debt.

The amps that I fell in love with were the MS/MPS. I ended up buying an M50 because that's what I could afford. It was a great amp and never quit on me. Now I just stockpile any of the older PG stuff in my basement.

Easy, M series "Drives nails". Started with an M25, then up to an M50 + M100 and then Outlaw. From there moved to MS275 + MS2125 and it went ape from there.

It was the Xenons for me, but I have only been playing in this hobby for a few years now. I had heard about PG, but never thought I could afford it, now look what you guys are doing to me!!!

when I first saw a ms2125, there were only a few in our country.
at that time I ran my 8 subs on four PPI AM4200 amps, and they did real good....
but the overall feeling I got by just watching the 2125, mad me lose a lot of sleep, so I had to buy one.. two...and not much later the thirth and fourth one.
never had regrets.
those amps ,gave me a almost instand victory on every show, regarding s.p.l, and appearance.
still love them, using one for my home-stereo as some of you already know.
I'm paciently waiting for the first ms2250 I'll own, now beeing repaired by Cecil. I'm a bit excited, just thinking about that amp, I've wanted to own one for years....
currently, all stuff I have is PG; some 2125's, 275's, eq215, basscube and acc.

well, for me it was the M series back in 1994 when I was studying in Australia

Could not afford PG back then, and when I came back in Tahiti, a new dealership for PG had opened, but the prices were............
