I didn't want to ask that question... I liked the way the red use to grab my eyes. I was looking at the new way but have yet to figure it out..

If you hover over the icons, they tell you what they are for the most part.

In the main category:
Closed folder: no new posts
Open folder: new posts

Inside each category:
Yellowish colored page: New posts in thread
White page: No new Posts
White page w/ flame: Hot topic, no new posts
Asterisk on the above: You have posts in the thread.

I didn't really look for more but I am sure this covers the most of it.

Yeah, that is weird, I see it too, the hover over does say that there are new posts in there, but I open it and I have nothing unread in there... As for FF, what gives there? You running the beta version or something? I have the latest "pushed" release/update and my hover's work...

OUCH MY EYES ARE WATERING.... Couldn't sleep very well so I decided to surf a little, got up and this site was the first one to pop up, took me almost 4 mins for my eyes to adjust.

Man, the theme isn't THAT bad.

Make sure you ladies pull up your skirts and put down those purses before viewing the site! We wouldn't want those panties to get all ruffled and bunched up

All joking aside, I do agree with running a poll though, fair is fair...

Another "difference" is that Firefox does not open links in new tabs from the new phorum. With the old one, any link would open in a new tab....not that I cannot get used to it but not sure if it is something that is changeable. :)

That should just be a setting in Firefox... Or I just use my "scroll wheel" button. I just push down on the scroll wheel, and a new tab opens. But of course I don't use that virus/malware invested OS they call windows, but it should still function the same.

I would try a new dark theme if I could find one that didn't look like some 15 year old kid's website. If you guys want darker, find me a PG-ish theme that doesn't suck horse nuts!

http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/
Just click Next in the top left a whole bunch...

Or the top right...

How about this? It's kinda gold, dark... I hate the top though so I would have to cut out that image at least.

This is what most of the dark ones look like:

I totally miss the red and green, not only do they have more contrast than yellow and white, they add some color to this sterile theme. Just throwing it out there. The functionality seems to be great so far! Keep up the good work fearless leader!

At the top of the page there are links that say " * View unanswered posts • View unread posts • View new posts • View active topics"

Click the one that says, "View New Posts"

The right side user info is very annoying to me.

I don't know about everyone else, but I read from left to right...

I will switch the avatar location when we can all agree on a style template. Not going to waste my time doing it to this one if everyone hates it! However, I have yet to hear a single alternate suggestion...
