all the work on the rebuild has had me eyeing a tool car/dolly to help out as I have no where to put my tools down while working short of on/under/around the car. So while looking around today I saw the harbor freight add that had this tool car on it. normally $279, marked down to $150 and $110 with the coupon. Its not snap on quality as I found a run in the paint but it hold 580 lbs, bearing on the drawers and rubber liners and heavy duty castors. Put it to work tonight and was happy with all the space it gave me.Image

Zuki - who is that guy? I remember him on the old carsound site and then suddenly he had his own high-end amp line...

Mother of god. If that thing is internally just like the 4 channel Erik reviewed for each pair of channels, and another internally bridged two channel for each of the sub channels... That's a damn MONSTER. Got current? Got ear protection?

Yea Zuki and I exchanged some pm's when my digestive crap started to give my problems. We also shared an interest in bicycling and he hinted that he had done some racing. One day I remember him saying something about coming out with an amp line and all I could think was WTF yea you do that... I mean who makes their own high-end amp line and sticks their name on it but I will be damned couple years later I start seeing his stuff. Always wondered who/what he was, seems somewhere between batman and MacGyver from what I heard.

Anyway if you believe in retail therapy - then I had a great day! If your an accountant, its retail therapy... Been needing some supplies to finish off the compressor install and did it today. First harbor freight for some hoses/ends, a hose reel and a cheep angle grinder I will need shortly. After that I went to a local autobody supply shop and got the primer/paint/measuring cups in the box on the upper left, the filter/and the filter next to the compressor.
Image
I also got these Purdy thangs.
Image
was at home putting all that together when the mail lady pulled up with some packages. First I got the ballasts for the HIDs. These things are sweet only 4" long with the mounting bracket and lifetime warranty.
Image
The second box was FULL of knowledge with a complete set of factory manuals. Already helped me remember how the brackets for the condenser looked/mounted.

Need some minor fittings for the compressor to work but can't wait to fire up the paint guns. Need to prime/paint the bumper(metal one under the bumper cover) so it will not rust.

The first 5 channel ever made? It may well be. A little dirty but I tested it today and it all works.

I can honestly say blaupunkt is probably one of the brands I miss most in audio. Loved the clean lines on their decks, and who DIDN'T want a code-protected pull out in the day? Well I didn't I had one.

Hmm. I guess it was made by zapco. I took it apart for gut shots and my grandson took off with an endplate. I guess I get to spend my day tracking it down.

Tested it at a friends shop. It sounds wonderful and waaaaay underrated. Probably gonna trade it off. I got it in a package deal with something I wanted.

Picked up my new (actually ridiculously old) tube Radio that will go into our new classic style kitchen!
A nice Kapsch Orchestra that needed some minor repairs (solder spots and poti cleanups) This radio was built in 1953 and compared to some modern kitchen radios i was listening too, this one sounds great.
I paid 20eur for it and it only took me 2 hours to get it back up´n running 8)

one piece of advice on those, ALWAYS wipe your finger prints off of the black chrome areas as soon as you are done or its amazing how fast the oils can etch into it. beautiful amps fer sure.
