is it one of the modern action flicks where they substatue a good solid camera mount for 15 shaky shots for a 4 second sequence where you can hardly tell what the hell is happening? I hate the way the movies are going. Movies that are shot like that give me a migrane.

it has a few of those, especially one of the hand to hand fight scenes. but it doesnt define the movie

did you really? psh. that will teach you.
in brian land "fucking awesome" movie and "good" movie can mean very different things. its not "well written" or even all that original. but its entertaining as hell
Fast 5 got creative with some destruction scenes and has some badass cars.

it looks like fun but I do not expect to see it win any awards.

you dont need to...probably just #4 to catch some back story. you will need to see all of them to know where all the "friends" came from. but thats not really crucial to the story

It was a BADASS flik that was super entertaing and had a better storyline than I thought it would. The ROCK needs to lay off the wieght bench and qwit wearing extra-medium tshirts but his character is a good fit. The nicest car in the whole movie was in the opening scene..... The 72' Skyline GTR is a "if I had millions" car for me.
I'll say that its TOTALLY worth going to see in the theator.

Not to hijack this thread but thank you Scott! This is my biggest gripe with newer films. What a lazy way to make action shots. You don't have to actually shoot a good action sequence any more, just shake the camera and people will think, ooh, what great action, it must be action as I cannot see what is happening. Not.
I am calling shenanigans.

A local tuners club named TSG asked me if i would do a little film with them as an intro for the Fast 5 premier over here in austria.
That´s what they made out of it:
