< is the presents! Anyone get anything good? I need to live vicarously through you peopel because my christmas has been delayed by the hospital I now sit in. One gift I have been looking forward to is my mother knitted me a sweater. She has always been doing it but she normally does baby clothes and then donates them to the church. Earlier this year I told her I would love to have a seater made by her and she said she would. Other then that I hope to just get enough cash to buy the batteries and sound damping I need to go on with the stereo install.

Naturally I am joking about that being the important part. In reality just having my brother back for a week and my family back together under one roof is nice. Now ask me next week if I still enjoy everyone under one roof and I will tell you that its great to see family come to visit, and after a while it is nice to see the go too :D

Got more then I could've asked for.

The Mumford and Sons 3 disc set,
Pearl Jams "20" 3 disc set,
COD:MW3 for the PS3,
A Clarion CDC605 cd changer,
A Clarion A007-w amp, and a few more "unknown" gifts to be determined in a few days.

nerf guns, other various fishing gear, and a bunch of gift cards. I think it's a pretty good haul!

Tomorrow I will go buy me a new tripod for the camera and the spotting scope.

I am honestly thinking of going this route next year. Since the wife and I are not religious Xmas really holds no meaning for us. More and more it just seems like a holiday of greed and not something I like to be a part of. I do like spending time with my family (and even the in laws), and that what the holidays are about for me anyways.

We decided to not do presents this year and it was a very stress free Christmas. Just hanging with family, eating lots of good food and relaxing.

x3..

My wife and I agreed with immediate family that we weren't doing presents (simply cannot afford to with bubs weeks off being born).. And was the most relaxing we've had, just enjoying company of family.. That's more important than presents to us!

I am not Pegan, or the latter revamp into Christian, so the holliday holds nothing for me. I take that back, it is nice to spend time with family and loved ones. For those of you who celebrate the holidays, I wish you a Happy Solstice and Merry Christmas.

Absolutely! Spend some time with family and friends and enjoy the small amount of time off work. I can dig it.

Yeah right! I re-gifted you a shitty mens grooming kit!

I got a Canucks jersey, Battlefield 3, and enough money to buy myself some new snowboard boots.

my family just exchanged its gifts tonight. Somehow I knew that we would regret giving them an e-reader, I can't even figure it out. Mom made me a sweater for the first time ever. Greatest gift ever.... She crochets alot of baby clothes that she donates but finally decided to make something from my brother and I. Also got cash, what else could a dude need..

Now I also just found out that tomorrow is my disability hearing. Fuck I thought it was friday but ok, lets get it over with.... Wish me luck....

On your side of the pond giving presents at Christmas seems to be more common than here.
We celebrate 5 December; we call it "sinterklaas" , which is a day celebrated with lots of gifts for the children and the "sinterklaas" himself with his black [painted familymembers] helpers who throw around candy.
My sister-in-law is born at Christmas day so we are at her birthday every year, and meeting the whole family there.
Next day my parents, and then we're about done with the whole thing...
Presents are not given, only the present of spending time with each other....which is precious in these times.
Hey; know what they say about family coming over to stay..?
"family staying in your house is like a fish you buy at the store; it starts to get nasty after three days..."

Screw it, BF3 is better. Perks and running and gunning is fun, but there are unimaginably more roles you can take in BF3. It's way more tactical, involving, and has better graphics to boot! Only downside is that Origin on my PC is pretty buggy, compared to the ease of MW3 on a console.

TBH, I quit playing military shooters a few months back and decided to boycott MW3 because of the whole Activision vs. Infinity Wary lawsuit thing.

Infinity Ward made the game, they made it great. Activision decided to squeeze that golded goose for another egg and added Treyarch as a developer and their games were shit compared. THEN Activision decides to fire/ask for resignations of ALL of Infinity Ward after MW2, so all creativity and brilliance left with them. Now we have Black Ops. and MW3 (aka Black Ops. Futureized)

So, FUCK COD!! FUCK ACTIVISION!!

They certainly know how to kill a good thing.
