Apparently you can't cut metal on this thing with gloves on even. Scared the hell outta me when it went off...........it is not quiet.

Those things are pretty cool. I wondered what damage that would do to the equipment when it went off. Does it have any trouble when cutting multiple types of wood (hardwood to MDF or particle?)

We just lost a guy 3 weeks ago when he was drop cutting and it sucked his hand in. 4 fingers hanging by the artery. But he is going to be back in the next few weeks. After seeing his hand I've been a little girl on the saw, and thats all I've been doing for the last 2 day (rip/cross 190 sheets).

This is what I get to use. http://www.deltamachinery.com/index.asp?e=136&p=737

it uses an electrical signal so it wouldnt matter what kind of wood you use. (also why you can't cut metal)

actually, that isnt a bad price. I am trying to find out why no shops around us have these things, as it seems like it would be one of the best purchases you could buy in a cabinet shop

When it went off it chowed the blade but this was the 4th time it has triggered from my understanding. It's a great tool and has no issues with normal daily wood cutting and is on par with anything out there for that.
