New garage/shop construction.

Just thought I'd start a thread for my new shop. Finally after three months of waiting for permits to start construction, I am now ready to go. I'm building a three car garage/shop 34'x25-1/2' with 800 sq. ft. Studio above. Will be starting to excavate in the morning. Ill be taking lots of pictures. Plan is to have a full wood shop in one bay, and a double bay for installs or just working on vehicles in general. I'm not trying to start an install bay. Just a place for guys to come hang out and shoot the shit. Upstairs will be a full media and games room. Trying to talk my wife into a pool table. Although I might have to settle for a new snow blower tomorrow. We got 20cm of snow today, and supposed to get 10 more tonight. There's no way I'm shoveling the new driveway. It's huge, 16'x80'.
Does anyone have pics of there shops. Looking for ideas at to setup.

Nice bro ...hope it goes as planned

, but my shop is our 1.5 car garage that has barely enough space to work, but the attached mancave is an audiophile's wet dream.

So we got a shit pile of snow yesterday. And thought screw it I'm not shoveling this. So instead I rolled over and cleaned the house, washed the floors by hand, did the laundry. In return I got to pickup this today. It like the Cadillac of snowblowers.

I have the best wife. Picked up a new saw for the shop project. One of my employees did not clip the saw onto the stand properly and it flipped over and busted. I was pretty pissed. $1000 down the tube. But what can you do?

Start framing Saturday. Should be done by next week. Weather here is super shitty this week so hope I don't get to far behind schedule.

For now, the garage will be much bigger than our house. But that will change in the new year. We will be taking down the house in April to build a new bigger one.

Been slow going. Having trouble finding time to work on the shop. Missed a week and a half now due to sick kids and holiday shopping. Trying to make up time this week. Pouring slab on Thursday and starting roof tomorrow.
Hears the last pic I have taken.

Living in the garage while the new house is built?
I can't quite make it out in the pictures, but have you used ICF for the below grade walls?

Yes the garage has full hight 8' foundation walls with footings at 2'wide. Walls are icf at 8" of concrete. So over all my walls are 13" thick. Above grade is double walled and double insulated and soundproofed. Perfect for an install bay. Garage has a full 800sqft studio suite above. I plan on renting it out til I've made my money back on the construction. Should take about 6 years.
