Anyone going to daytona this weekend? Im sure morgan will be there, but anyone else? I'll be competing this year instead of exhibiting.

wish I could make that trip for either that or mustang week, always wanted to see them. Sucks I can't travel anymore.

Thanks guys. I need it.lol as of right now, im in 2nd place in meca m3 with a score of 149.8. That was with the cd skipping and fuses are still good, so ill see how much I can improve on my score tomorrow with a flash drive and a set of fresh fuses.(that ill be sure to blow). Dont know how many pics ill be taking, there's really 2 sides to this event, 1 building is spl and sq competition, other building is for exhibitors and tuner jam competition. I've spent most of my time in the spl lanes. But ill try to get some. But to be honest, there is a very small turnout as far as manufacturers and vendors. NO PG BOOTH tho. In my disappointed voice.

Well, made my second run (using my tablet) did a 152.8 before the fuses popped. Ended up in 2nd place a won a trophy with me "Team PG"/Incriminator Audio car.lol If I wouldve known, I wouldve entered in the iasca classes I was planning on. Woulda got 1st in both of those. Hell for that matter, if I woulda moved up a class in meca to m4 I woulda won that class too and prolly not popped fuses.lol

looks like a pretty big/fun system. The only part that caught me as something I might try to do differently is the carpeted piece that is around the port. Why so many screws and why didn't you hide them? With carpet like that if I had to sink a screw in it I would just take a box knife and make a 1/4" slit in the carpet, and then gently pry back the area so I could throw a counter-sunk screw in the middle of if. After that normally you can just reapply the carpet if the glue was not too old or else I would just dab a small amount of fresh glue to the screw head and then again put the carpet over it. With carpet that thick its easy to hide normally.

Its a removeable port. With the port in, I'm tuned to 30hz, with port removed, I'm at 42hz. My plan was to take the port out at competitions to raise the tuning, but I said screw it and ran it with the port in. The screws are countersunk also. But I'm probably gonna change them out for 1/4" lag bolts with washers. The whole inside of the enclusure is fiberglassed and all corners have 45's with glass mat and resin. Pretty damn efficient for single layered 3/4" mdf. Btw, that 152.8 dB is at 35hz at the headrest (meca rules).

Also. I couldn't get a 2nd sub amp in time (out of stock), so I bought one off craigslist, ended up being bad and smoking my sub on the drivers side. Figured out why I was shutting down and going into protect. Lol. Anyway. Got a recone coming for the sub and sending the amp in to get checked out. Wouldve been nice if the amp was good to go and I got it dialed in before the show. But I didn't get the amp until the day before.

Ends up the guy that beat me (blake clements 159.x) was the world champion last year in the m4 division. I guess he found a way to drop down a class. Lol

we called them sand-baggers in the bicycle race area. Seemed that no matter how fast I could manage to go it didn't really matter as there would be a few guys 6-8 mins ahead of the rest of the pack and they all raced sport-class the year before.
