I was a big listener when I was a kid. Electro, real hip hop, real rap *
Well a friend of mine has the colletion 1-12 along with Electro Crucial 1 and Electro UK 1 (which was actually very fucking good) ripped from cds that were released in the late 90's. Im dling now, 256k bitrate so theyll sound good too
I know HBH is into this stuff, anyone else?
Some of my all time faves -
Whodini - Freaks come out at night
Egyptian Lover - Egypt x2 and girls
Run DMC - Sucker MC's
And anything by Newcleus, the Pacman song (god that was fucking incredible) and all that... I'm going to author an MP3 DVD with menus that will hold the whole lot, if anyone's interested LMK

oops*
Real rap, like Big Daddy Kane, Doug Lazy, Ice T (in the early days when he was still in NJ and NY) Fat Boys and so on.
Not this new shit like "come to the candy shop and suck my cock" and "nigga nigga nigga, got a bigga gun than you nigga listen to my uzi" and so forth. That's Rap with a silent C.
The last rap I got into (even tho it fitted the cliche above) was NWA's straight outta compton. But it was tracks like "Somethin' to dance 2" that got my attention. Not the others (tho gangsta gangsta and dopeman were original at the time).
Also just grabbed Public Enemy's It takes a nation of millions to hold us back. Rebel without a pause is a work of modern day art

I have 11 12 UK and Crucial 1&2 aswell, they'll be on a seperate DVD
And here is the menu I redrew from scratch so it looked better and cleaner
As I mentioned the albums are seperated into titles, clicking on a title brings up the tracklisting..
I have no probs burning these for anyone interested but I dont have the cash to send them all out and have no means of getting to the P/O atm. As soon as I am back on my feet neither should be an issue.. But up there you have pretty much the very best of electro and hip hop from 79-85
