Anyone use a stand on mower?

Post by Eric D »

It currently takes me 2 hours or more to mow my lawn with a 22" walk behind (push) mower. I am considering getting a 48" stand on, or walk behind with a sulky. I am looking for opinions on them.

I don't want a sit-on zero turn, as it is just to big to deal with storing, plus I need more exercise anyway.

The sulky takes a little getting used to, very hard to back up. Likes to jack knife in reverse. I prefer the stand on mower much better !

Here are a couple, but they are pricey. It depends on how big the yard is and how much you want to invest. I'm sure there are some home owner models available that are cheaper that are just as good. I would get a Gravely myself. Very good quality mowers.Made in the USA !

And a badboy https://www.badboymowers.com/bad-boy-sh ... lawn-mower

Both of those brands look great to me, but upon further investigation the closest dealers for me are around one and half hours away. I found an Exmark dealer only about 2 miles away. I am going to keep digging to see what other brands have dealers in my area.
