Not like that Fowler!!

Traffic stopped on the highway and the lady behind me decided not to stop. She was trying to switch lanes into the lane to the right of me and didn't see the traffic stop. Here are some crappy cell phone pics. Take a look at the damage to my truck!

Yeah, that Suzuki folded up like a tin can!! I thought my truck was gonna be hammered, when I got out and saw the damage I was like WTF!!?? I'm a little stiff and sore, but I'll get over it. I did take the rest of the day off though to recover. Insurance should pay me for my lost wages (yeah right!!)!

A friend with a Nissan Pathfinder got rear ended twice within a week... once at 60km/h, once at about 30 or so. The truck looked fine, aside from a bent hitch. Both of the cars were complete writeoffs.

Well, at least it wasn't your fault. You should be all fixed up ;)

Still feel kinda sorry for that lady though. Could have happened to any of us.

She did get a ticket for following too close, but the real problem is that she just wasn't paying attention. If she was not so concerned with getting out of that lane and being in a hurry it probably would not have happened.

I guess that's what we have insurance for!

Glad you're ok.

When you match fullsize truck against little car the results are seldom good. A lady rearended me once in the same kind of deal. I got about the same damage you did, and her hood was folded up over the top of her car.

   Glad your OK Casey. Hows your neck, any pinching pain ?
Sorry to hear about your truck taking a beating for you, but better your truck then you.
Now you guys know why I drive a suburban. I been rear ended 6 times with "ZERO' damage to be, and a average payout of $2200.00 from each accident to cover new bumpers and broken gears in the 10 inch rear ends Chevy uses in my model.

Before you say your truck is OK have your rear end cover removed and your gears inspected, just a FYI. If you were stopped your rear end gears took it up the spout so to speak. Look for fractured ring and pinion gears, and damaged differential section.
It after was the loading point for your truck to take that impact.

Glad your OK my friend, get your truck checked right away :) :)
