The number of users joining has completely stagnated recently. I am thinking either there is something wrong with the registration page, or people just aren't hearing about this place anymore. We need to keep new people coming in, in order to keep from getting stale!
I made a post in the phoenix gold area of the sounddomain forum advertising us. I am not sure where else would be applicable... but it would be really nice if PG could link to us somehow as well (twist a few arms Errin?

). If you guys see any PG posts on other forums, please don't hesitate to link to us.
Let me know if you guys have any ideas. I am working on getting better search engine coverage. Right now, google has indexed a bunch of
fucked up old URLs from the site (in the old slow URL rewriting schema), and it needs to catch up to the new URL design. I also set up a mod that generates a dynamic
sitemap for our site which includes
all the thread URLs along with information that helps google and other pages index us.
I am also trying to get us into the yahoo directory and other places... If you guys know any high-ranking websites that get indexed frequently, make sure you drop our URL

Maybe a PhoenixPhorum-banner with a link,
then we can download it and place it on some sites we
regulary visit or put it in our signature on other forums...

It's a couple of months away but what effect will the roadster66 website have? Is it a forum or what? Maybe set up something in conjunction with it.

I don't think that site is actually going to be anything other than a link back to Phoenixgold.com

I'm sure all it will be is a place where people can post install pics and there may be a little forum at it.

Being that it said it was mentioned by Leahy I think it will... I have nothing but respect for that guy! He's really got a good head on his shoulders and hes one of the only product development type guys that I've met who actually knows the product he's selling. He really knows his stuff and loves his job and it shows!

How long does it really take to launch a forum when you've already got a template of one that they had in the past? And a pictures posting section when they've already got one working on the PG site? Its a copy paste and clean up site to create. Cake!

Thx,
but what do I need to do with this text,
so it will become a banner when I place it into my signature?
I've tried to copy the text and paste it into my signature,
but It only showed the text.
Also tried to put behind it,
but same result.

I'm not so good with that kind of computerstuff...

Another great way to get members is just by linking them to threads here.
For example, we just got a great opportunity with this CES thread:
http://phoenixphorum.com/ces-pics-vt332.html
If you guys go to any other forums, I'm sure everyone there is excited about CES as well, so you could post the above link on other forums as well.
I noticed marko linked bdub's woofer test thread on a UK chat forum, and that got us a few members as well. I also linked us in a thread on the SaabCentral forums and got us another few members that way. Basically, the more links we have pointing to us will get us more members, with the added bonus of a higher pagerank in google!

I just joined another forum and was wanting to put the phoenix banner in my sig. I copied it and pasted it, but it's not working. Any idea why?
Code: Select all

This is the code I used.
