Any plumbers in the house?

My toilet has been fucked for the last two days. It would never flush out, just fill all the way to the top... then it would slowly drain off in huge bubbles, down to the very bottom of the bowl.

Well I just noticed as I was brushing my teeth that the shower is completely full of SHIT. Literally. Human feces. Yeah, the toilet now drains into my shower. Awesome.

Something is seriously fucked up with the plumbing in this house. It sucks, because I really need to take a dump right now, but I am going to have to hold it for work tomorrow morning. To make matters worse, Wendy and I are letting a band (5 people) crash at our house tonight. I called them and warned them to take a shit before they came over, because they will have to pee outside.

Fuck... how am I going to deal with this.

I'm no plumber, but unfortunately it sounds as if your main sewage line is backed up. It could either be on the "city" side or your side. If it's the city side they will fix, but if it's stopped up on your property then you're responsible. You could either call the city or a plumber to determine where the problem lies. If you can find the sewage cleanout look to see if it's backed up before or after there, you can rent a "snake" from a hardware store and try to bust up the clogged line.

It's probably draining to the shower because it's the lowest spot in the line.

use a snake and see if you can rip through the shit......

also is your house on post and pier or flat on the ground.

Ask the neighbors to see if they are experiencing any problems. It may help determine if the backup is a YP or TP. (your problem/there problem).

You are welcome to use my toilet Tom!
I guess that indeed your main line has been clogged; the waste-water takes the only way out it can; upwards...bahhhh...

Have you tried a Plunger on the lew?, If not then that first, if that fails then see below.

Snake you lew out, and also snake the vent pipe on the roof. If your really in the shit your sewer pipe might be suffering from root invasion from a local tree out in the yard

Chances are somebody has been flushing diapers and Kotex   just add water and pew what a mess. If its tree related you will need a cutter head for your snake and I recommend renting a power snake unless you like cranking your arms off.

Its definitely plugged down the line, Also look for a clean out in the yard somewhere. Thats a Y shaped portal that lets you snake the line outside the house to the street.

If you don't find or have a clean out port, then find the sewer line dig a hole and cut one in the pipe. You can patch it later with hose and band clamps and RTV.

Are we having fun yet ???

You can also call Canadian router service or CRS < in America that stands for Can't Remember shit> Thats why we call them Roto-Router down this way  :)

Most of the above info is strait except for my poor ass humor my friend, but your really in the shit now    Sorry Tom, Call the local Router guy and let him struggle with it, He likes that sort of work at least...C

Do your toilets spin backwards...oh wait that's austrailia...my bad!!JK it's either in your line to the house from the main or ???? My neighbor has the same issue..once in a while i see his landlord snaking the line from the house to the city...most likely you've got root's(not the hair kind) that hve found a way int the sewer line...they catch all kinds of crap(literally) run a rooter from the house to the main with a tiller as large as the line itself-- this will get you through for another couple of months till you either kill the offending tree, or replace the old pipe with the newer seamless pvc stuff. Good luck

Ya unfortunately if it is backing up in the shower, then ANY and ALL water use using the same pipes will back up. Bathroom sink (however hopefully the crap wont get backed up to there....But like Avicjr said it's the lowest point. Snake is going to be the way to go. Plunger will not help cuz it sounds like the crap is not stuck in the toilet.

It is not a nice thing to deal with. Showers, dishwashing, clothes washing....STAY away from till you can get it fixed. TRUST ME...

My friend had the same problem....maybe a year ago. And mannn...I felt really bad for him....he told his wife to not use the showers etc. She didnt realize he also ment clothes washer.

She turned that on, and mannnn.......it was just plain bad.
No where for the water to drain but back up.

Fortunately enough I don't have to deal with myself, because I am only renting. I called my landlords this morning and they are sending some emergency plumbing service to the house. I will have to go home to let them in later today, but at least it will get fixed (I hope).

Well the plumbers are here, and they are running a snake through the piping...

For some reason they are up on the roof. You would think that the drain would be lower??? Oh well, I don't care about the mystery as long as my toilet flushes somewhere other than into my shower.

There is always a vent for the sewer pipe on the roof. Easiest access you'll find.

The plumbers were snaking and trying various things for about two hours. They have only managed to fill the shower AND toilet full with shitty piss water. So they gave up and went on a lunch break... because they think it will be a loooong job.

Coooooooooooooooooooooooool :x

They just finished.

They had to go from the roof, from the yard (cut a hole in the grass and did the main line), and from inside the house.

4 and a half hours and it's finally flushing. Now I can clean up all of the shit from the floor, and go back to work. Wish me luck.

MAn....I feel bad....that smell will probably be in your nose for a while. You'll leave the house and think you smell it. Mann...that sux....My friend had to deal with that for a while (the smell) even tho no one else smelled it...

Reminds me of the time we found a dead body in the apartment complex that I used to live in. The guy was probably dead for a week. We had no clue...just a bad smell for a few days, called the cops, and they disturbed the body.....BIG Mistake......

I had that dead body smell every where I went for like almost a week.
