When I have to log in, I have to do the whole process 2X. It's getting a bit old. I'm unaware if anyone else has had this issue or brought it up.
Let me know what's up. Thanks.

Do you have cookies disabled or anything? I have never noticed or heard of this problem. What browser are you using?

Is browser the same as ISP? Insight communications cable. Enternet explorer, I believe is what you're after.
As far as I know, cookies are enabled.

Nope... A web browser is the program you use, not the service. Internet explorer is what I was looking for. Do you know what version? Heck, forget that... just install Firefox. I haven't used any versions of Internet Explorer that even came close to the versatility and security of it.
www.getfirefox.com
It will import all of your bookmarks and stuff from IE, and then you can use it pretty much the same way... only stuff will actually work, and you will be much less likely to pick up random viruses and other shit.

Hmm... sounds like your sessions may not be saving properly. Cleaning cookies/cache/etc and restarting the browser might get things working again.

Funny how pwople swear by FF, but I've had almost nothing but problems with them, many sites are not accessable with FF, where they work flawlessly in IE.
Tools>Intrenet Options> (temporary internet files) Clear Files. That should help.
Sometimes clearing cookies will help as well, but you'll have to re-enter your user names and passwords for every site you visit.

It's all anecdotal, really.
FF support web
standards more accurately but that doesn't mean anything in and of itself because websites aren't necessarily following the standards either, especially those designed by webmasters who only ever test with IE (or any other browser that sets it's own so-called standards) and end up using IE-specific markup, JavaScript and Active-X.
I've had better success with pretty much every browser out there than IE, but that in and of itself means nothing and I can respect the fact that you've had the opposite experience.

The problem here is definitely session based. The session isn't being properly maintained after the first login attempt. Since sessions are managed by the server setting cookies on the client side (your browser) it's likely that your browser isn't taking the cookie properly.
As said, try clearing the cookies and see if that helps.
There is the odd chance that phpBB has a bug only experienced under certain conditions but I'd be more likely to say it's the browser or browser settings.

Do you have any kind of web blocker or firewalls set up?
