I'm not surprized in the least. I don't think I've ever paid retail on any of the audio gear I've ever owned. I can remember when MONSTER first started hitting the shelves and the reviews were giving them the reach-around in every electronics mag.

problem is that is what monster cable actually suggest the retail at.
as a vendor of monster cable it would be up to me to determine if i wanna sell it for 70 points or 10 points.
i dont know why there is so much harp on that fact.
people outta look at the mark up of other things they buy
they would cry......
