When it comes to being on my own I have gotten pretty good at it over the last few years. I have gone for long periods with no phone or internet either.
But today when I got up the power was out and god it was fucking terrible
In the end I drove all the way to walmart and purposely tried to overdraw one of my debit cards (Im leaving soon so whatever) by getting $100 cashback. Didnt work, banks here aint the same as the UK. But god I have never been so fucking bored or lost feeling before..
Amazing really, what the fuck did we all do as kids without all this shit? I did manage to get the TV running off the UPS for a while, but even that wasnt taking away the feeling of boredom.
If you're going through hell keep going

lol, I kinda went through some of that yesterday. There was a pretty good storm rolling through here and the power flickered off for about 5 mins. I was in the middle of playing a game on the 360, so that was gone. So I thought "I'll just watch some tv", nope powers out dumbass! So, my laptop was still on, no problem I think, I'll just play on the interweb, nope, no power to the wireless router means no interweb. DAMN, what the hell can I do!! Just about then the power came back on and it was back to killing aliens. Kinda scary though, without power for 5 mins I was in a panic!!
I rode my bike, and threw rocks. Find an old abandoned factory and a kid can keep busy for days while building up a good throwing arm. My parents were old-school and cheap. We didn't have any eletronic shit like the Atari or Collecovision when I was growing up. You got one hand-me-down bike and clothes to wear. Now go outside and play.
Find yourself some wood, and start making speaker-cabinets!
That's what I used to do when I was young and bored
[didn't need power as well, besides my own energy].
Just sawing with an old hand-saw from my dad, and making round holes for the speakers ,by drilling a loooot of holes, [hand-operated drill] and than punch it out... and then filing the edges away with an old file..!
That will get you through the day allright
It worked for me..
Oh by the way; when you come to screwing the box together; do it by hand; blisters for sure after screw nr. 20. or so... oh those good old days.
