Coffee Time

Anyone one else here into coffee? More than just a way to wake up in the morning. It accounts for probably 75% of my fluid intake and I've become quite the snob over time.

What's your favorites? Blends? Coffee houses etc.

I've given into the Starbucks (Charbucks) empire because they're available everywhere nowadays. Thier package beens are pretty good actually. And they have a roasting plant here in my home town so it's pretty fresh too. I've been hooked on the Itailian Roast most recently.

There is a coffee house about an hour away from me that has some of the best I've had. He has his own St. Thomas roaster and imports his own beens. Being so far away though I don't get it too often.

Any other fanatics around that would be willing to ship out some samples or trade. I'd love to try new stuff.

I get a "Triple Double Minty Mocha" from a place by my work. It's not on the menu.
Consisting of -
*6-shots
*EXTRA choco syrup and mint flavor
*1/2-n-1/2 cream

It's thick as fuck and pretty packed with caffeen goodness. Picture drinking mint chocolate chip ice cream............. :D :D

I like drinking a nice sit down coffee at a shop when I have the time and I'm with friends or something. I like a few different coffees this way and it's the only way I'll ever have milk in my coffee.

Otherwise, it's black and drip and hot and who gives a fuck what nuances of flavor exist.

That community coffee looks interesting. Never saw it around here. I think I'm gonna try the Lousiana blend.

Greg, do you generally prefer a light, medium or dark roast??

I'll send you some beans from a small place not too far from me called Coffee Basics where I buy all my beans from. They do all of thier own roasting and have some really nice blends.

http://www.coffeebasics.com.au/coffee.html

Let me know what you want and I'll send you something from the other side of the planet for a fellow coffee lover.

Andy, That would be awesome! I typically go for a dark roast/bold blend. I could send you some as well from my local coffe house. What types do you like? That's kinda the idea behind this thread. Maybe we could hook each other up and try stufff from all over.

rlockwood, that's cheating! I'm jealous. I've tried to convince my wife to do the same. The money we'd save on buying coffee plus her tips at the coffee house, technically she would make the same. Of coarse she would have to do a little more than serve 'coffee'. But I told her I was OK with that as long as she brought home the good stuff. She didn't go for it

Thummper, Healthy coffee? That's f'n great! I like the organics too. Have you tried those?
