Is there one? It would be really cool to get etched into some Alu.... and then sidelit :D

If I do it myself (may well have time on a plane), does someone have a decent sized logo to use as a base? And is anyone else interested in the results?

I have a PG logo in DFX format. It isn't perfect, and it is the older logo with the RCA zigzag through it. I vectorized it from a .jpg. I have used it on my CNC mill to engrave in aluminum and plexi. There is a thread somewhere in the car audio section with lots of pics. I can hook you up with the .dfx file if you have acad.

that looks pretty good. I'll have to do some playing and see what I can come up with... I'm not 100% sure what I want at the moment, I'm surprised that my box appears to be solid :D

depending on the size you need, I could probably do the engraving. But you may be better off just going with somewhere local, since I have no idea where "Päijät-Häme or Uusimaa" is at.

I've vectorized pg logos a few times, but always seem to lose the files.

there's a company over in Germany called "Schäffer Apparatebau" who can incorporate HPGL into their machines; it's a bit like emachineshop only it works under Vista. Same idea, i.e. you create your requirements and send them off, getting it back a week or so later.

Ponoko was a service I was thinking about using, I simply haven't got round to it. Though I was intrigued to see that Sketchup can deal with .dxf...

PS: Uusimaa is the county for Helsinki, as in the flag :)
