Next weekend I can finally get out of this apt and away from all of these people. It's not too bad of a place, but dealing with people on 4 sides of you gets old. I'm going to rent a house closer to where I grew up at for the same price of the apt I'm in now, but the house includes free Dish Network and wireless internet. I can finally tell Comcast to shove it!!

That's a $115 per month savings right there!
Here is a vague ad for the place. It's also a lot closer to the mountains so I can go fishing more!

Holy shit, I pay that for a "2 bedroom" basement apartment, and I got an AMAZING deal. Usually 2 bedroom apartments are $1500 in my City.

Actually that's high for around here, but rentals are going nuts right now because of the housing crisis. Rentals are going like hotcakes and the prices are going up, but I guess that's to be expected. It's all good, I like the place and the landlord is mellow as hell. Plus it's two more bedrooms and privacy for the same amount of money!!

I pay more than that to live in a 550sqft apartment with 1bdr. However, for me it's location, location, location.

It's about 40 miles south of where I currently reside, but it's still about 25 miles north of where my parents live where I go almost every day. Right now the wife works about 1.1 miles away, so when we move she will be the one commuting every day. To bad she hates the Saturn so bad, maybe after she drives it every day for a few months I can push the issue for a different car!

That's about what I pay here in Middle TN for the same sized house.

Is the commute packed city streets or pretty open?

Well, the house we are renting is about 1 mile or less to the highway and where she works is about the same distance from the highway. The speed limit is 65 mph on the highway but everyone drives faster than that. All of that mixed with the fact she is going to try to switch up he work schedule to try and miss the heavy traffic hours equals a pretty easy drive of about a half an hour each way to work. Not too bad of a commute.

That's cool. I spend about 30 minutes in the truck each way right now but it's 100% city with the limit being 50KM/h for most of the way. About 13.5KM distance. Although, I do go against the main traffic (leave downtown in morning, enter downtime after work) so that's nice.
Good to hear her commute won't suck.
