on my way in to work today, I noticedd my car was gone. called the police and apparently ot was towed on sunday. he said it was on the basis of "hazard" with no other info. at the end of work I got tot the impound lot. the room was a zoo, with about 45 people jammed in a tiny hot room without anyone making progress. after an hour and a half, I get to the window where I am given a sheet to go rescue my car.

I walk out and find it with about a foot of snow piled on the drivers seat. the ddrivers window is blown out. I immediately thought everything was gone. the cd player, elite tweets (which are fully visible) are not touched. neither is the bass cube under the seat. got to the trunk, and they did take the xmax in the trunk. apparently they didntt want to look for the 5.1 octane and elite XO under my front seats.

now the fun began. I went back in, and was told they towed my car because the window was out. I said that I want my car, and a note that it would not be towed again thbis morning due to the window still bei.g out. I then made an appointment for a hearing.

I called the police and talked to them about it. apparently they coould not tow my vehicle due to only a window out (especially not less that 10 hours after it happened). so I got to place a report about the impouund stealing my car.

next problem is that they schedualled my appointment on dec 26 at 1130 am. how nice of them to make me drive back on xmas rather than spend it with my family. I did some research on the law they released my car under. turns out it states that they must give an appoi.ment within 24 hours of release

anyway, just felt like bitching about the 3.5 hours I spent at the fucking impound

Wow! That sucks. I know what it's like to find your car gone after it's been towed away without your knowledge.

Agh... Missed that part.

What size was it? I wouldn't mind chipping in to put an RSD comp in your car ;)

yeah, this has really turned in to a mess. i went to the police station today to get another opinion, adn they were not happy about it either. They looked it up and since it was never reported, they should not have towed it. Especially since it was so soon after the initial break in.

Apparently the towing company has taken all the power from the police though. he said that when they call to get an abandoned call towed, it takes them weeks. All the drivers are too busy driving around the nice areas trying to snag any decent car that they know will get paid up on.

What a bunch of ass.

I wouldn't be surprised if the tow guy busted your window, stole the Xmax and used that as the excuse to tow.
