Mozilla Prizm

Post by VW337 »

Anybody use this?

It is supposed to be a distraction free, web application launch pad. In the business world you can strip all sorts of things our of the OS but you still need a browser of sorts as the OS depends on it. So you can disable and modify the crap out of IE.

The point is to remove address bars and stuff to keep users from going to unauthorized websites or just browsing in general.

Prizm is a web shortcut for launching web applications such as google Docs and so on. You have no browser tools or options other than what the web page provides.

I have found this works great for the Phorum, this way I can't get distracted when I am at home and have a chance to browse.
I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.

So it's Gecko with a crippled GUI?

I see the point for business applications, but I don't personally think it would help me be less distracted :)
