TAX HELP PLEASE

Post by dBincognito »

This was the first year I filed my taxes electronically and it was rejected for the following reasons

Authentication Record – When the PIN TYPE Code (SEQ 0008) equals
“S” or “O”, the Primary Prior Year Adjusted Gross Income (SEQ
0020) or Primary Prior Year PIN (SEQ 0025) must match the
Primary Prior Year Adjusted Gross Income or Primary Prior Year
PIN on the IRS Master File.

and

Authentication Record – When the PIN Type Code (SEQ 0008) equals
"O", then the following fields must be present; Primary Date of
Birth (SEQ 0010), Primary Prior Year Adjusted Gross Income
(SEQ 0020) or Primary Prior Year PIN (SEQ 0025), Primary
Taxpayer Signature (SEQ 0035).

Can anyone help me get my money so I can go on a PG spree :D

that looks like your agi (adjusted gross income) from your last years tax return was incorrect ( it is used for verification of your identity) ..... or do you remember if you had a pin set up for your 2007 taxes? that can be used in place of the AGI.............. did you use a software or online service

I did not file in 2007 my income was $0.....it says I am supposed to leave the previous year PIN blank and put 0 as my AGI, then it says I should pick a 5 digit PIN # for this year's PIN...I did that and I was rejected....give me a minute and I will upload the PDF for tax codes....my problem codes are 0679, 0681

It's always tough filing electronically for the first time. Is the the first time you have EVER filed, or just first time electronically?
