New Guy here

Post by foosman »

Just found out about this forum from another member and he encouraged me to join. I have a pretty nice competition car that was built 10 years ago with PG amps that I have upgraded with Alpine F1 HU and processor, Hybrid Audio speakers, and still use the PG amps. Here are a couple pics. I'm looking forward to seeing this forums knowledge. Thanks, Foos

12" Ti sub in the dash powered by 1000.2
This car had the highest SQ score at Spring Break nationals in Daytona last month, entered in Expert-Manufacture class since there were still some install issues to work out.
No relation to Chip Foose, my name comes from the 70's and playing foosball for my competition fix.

This car was previously owned by Dwayne Blackwood in Florida, was worked on and built by some of the best in the industry, and as happens with multi year builds he got to where he hated it b4 he finished it. Started selling parts off it etc and I couldn't stand that, so I needed a new platform for competition so I bought it, upgraded it, and it is now back in the lanes. I'm sure losts of people in the Florida area have seen this car at one time or another, either in person or one of the Ford 5.0 magazines.

No, I'm in Texas, the car was trailered in for Daytona, and now it is back home in Arlington.

It really images well, dead center, depth like you wouldn't believe due to speaker location and the fact they are vented to the outside into the fenders, AP membranes on the mids.
Car will be back to Daytona next year for IASCA finals during Spring break, USACI finals in Tulsa, OK, and Texas Summer Showdown in Tyler Tx this year. It's always open door when I'm at a show.

I never thought that the TI amps are that much of SQ  I might rethink the last 7 years now!

They have done very well so far, however I may have to address the loud cooling fans at some time in the future, they could end up being a deduction in the lanes. After all, there are 2 400.2, 2 600.2, and 3 1000.2.

I'm going to guess the 600.2's are either stacked....or there is 1 hiding on the other side
